  • Morning everyone,  dry and bright but cold again.  In spite of the frosts the Dahlias were still green at the plots yesterday but it's only a matter of time.
    Regards to all.

  • I’m definitely more of a Claudia Winkleman than a Tess Daley when it comes to style preferences …. although my figure is nothing like either of them 🤣

Good morning Forkers.  Late on parade cos I've been for blood tests (MOT) and flu jab.  Quite a queue so good job it's dry and sunny tho cold as distancing meant waiting outside for ages.  Still only 9C so lots of layers needed.

I don't know who advises CW and Tess on their outfits but Possum and I - different perspectives - reckon they get it badly wrong at least 1 week in 2.   I like frocks for dancing and in summer but don't often wear one in winter as I don't like tights.

Just enjoying my first cuppa of the day - nothing before blood test - and am then going to see my chooks and pick as many dahlias as I can.   One thing about having the chooks fossicking in that bed is that we don't get earwigs or slugs in them.

    Good morning all.

I would be happy to have a figure and hair like Tess, I'm more the opposite.

So long as you can still type @punkdoc

It's sunny outside, meant to put the towels in the washing machine, probably too late to dry outside now.

OH is taking me out to lunch in one of my favourite pubs.

  • Well, I'm back from the farm shop and butcher ... we'll have Barnsley chops for Sunday with roast potatoes and parsnips and Brussels sprouts ... I bought the first stick of sprouts of the season.

There was a woman there who said she'd just recovered from Covid for the second time ... the first time she had it was Christmas '2019 (which is when OH and I think we had it).... she knows it was that because some little time later a blood test showed she had the antibodies. Then a couple of months ago she went to a grandchild's Christening ... everyone was masked and sanitised and everything, but she and several others went down with it a few days later ... they think it was the grandchildren infecting all the older folk. She said that at least she was double jabbed so this time wasn't as bad as the first time, but she still had several days of really being quite 'out of it' ... just staying in bed and feeling awful. I told her how I had felt when I was ill, especially the strange feelings in my chest and the breathing problems, and she said 'yes ... I was just like that' .

Now everything that can be sanitised has been sanitised and everything is put away ... now for a coffee ...☕

I can't stand CW fringe, how can she see. She claims her goth make up was because her Mother never taught her to put it on as a teenager. She's had plenty of time since then to perfect a softer more natural look.

Don't think she wants to ... think she's perfectly happy the way it is ...she's highly intelligent and I presume that her look is a very considered one ... it's certainly a look that's worked for her ... she's very successful ... in her job it doesn't do to look just like everyone else ...

Afternoon all, just treated myself to a bottle of malt from W'rose - 10 year old Loch Lomond. It was our "local" distillery about a mile from home and my brother worked there for a short while as a lad.
