Good morning Forkers and to the early birds!!

The wind has stilled this morning.  We've had a 100kmph wind for the the last 3 days.  Sunny days of course, as the wind does sweep the clouds but no good for gardening or practising on my leccy bike.

@Pat E   Thos mountains look as if they have "eyes" and are watching you.  We have the fields of poppies here in April - just beautiful but reminds me of the ANZACs.  Yes, 11th November is Remembrance Day here too.    Shame the poppies are not long lasting in a vase.

    Have a pleasant day everyone.

  • Morning everyone, lovely pics @Pat E. Its still unseasonably mild here most days,  at least 5-6C above the season average though we have had some frost.

Morning all.  Lovely poppy @Pat E - and what a view.  Glad you are travelling in the right direction @punkdoc.
Here in Bungay we always have our Remembrance Day parade and service at 3pm, not 11am.  Turns out years ago the bugler was called to Lowestoft for their Remembrance Day service at 11am and couldn't get back to Bungay until 3pm.  So that's when we had ours.  This bugler died years ago but Bungay has stuck with 3pm with no-one really knowing why.

took this cloud formation yesterday, any ideas what caused these lovely colours?
  • Must've been reflections from the setting sun @floralies.

I've just had a lovely Concorde pear for breakfast ... just a few left, ripening on the sideboard ... they really are delicious.
