Morning Obelixx. I’m glad you liked that cloud.
Our rain during the last three days has been very good for the garden. 👏👏

That’s a good idea.  Let’s see if he can organise it. 😂

Morning all. Some sun here this morning so must get some fresh air and enjoy the Autumn colours.

I hope you all have a decent Sunday.

Sunny and warm here. A couple of the Azaleas and Acer's are changing in the garden, but the woodlands are still green apart from a few beech leaves on the ground

Morning all, we're up in Staffordshire staying with friends. Drove through Eccleshall yesterday @SamBevington, one of our favourite places when we're up here. Had a good meal out last night. Our friends took us to a Portuguese/Spanish Tapas place in an Old Mill so we ordered a variety of tapas between us, then one seafood paella and one beef Picador  (similar to a stroganof?). Didn't care much for the King prawns though, too messy and chewy so I'm with Possum on that one. The Picador was delicious. We wore our masks, sanitised and were socially distanced in the restaurant so all good.

We're actually sitting in our friends conservatory whilst they've had to go out to a pre-arranged lunch. We didn't want to eat twice today because as soon as they are back, we're leaving to join my siblings at Trentham Gardens for a celebratory meal. It's OH's birthday today so I bought him an impromptu extra present in Stone market yesterday, a cheese wheel of different flavoured cheeses. He adores cheese.

The wind is getting up again and leaves are rattling on the conservatory roof. I wish we had one but we don't have enough flat space near the house. It's quite peaceful, watching the birds and admiring their garden - they live in an old farmhouse.

Hugs to those in need, especially Busy-Lizzie's daughter. I think the medication she is having takes at least a few weeks to kick in properly and makes you feel better. I believe my daughter took it for at least six months when she was in a similar state last year.

Good news on the booster jab front - it was announced yesterday that everybody over 50 could now book their jab in advance and have it the day their six months was up. They are anxious to get people jabbed before Xmas.

Thank you @Lizzie27. Happy birthday to your OH.

I'm having a quiet Sunday. Wondering whether to watch Strictly or Bake Off.

I loved how Sarah Raven (when we used to see her gardening on Gardeners World (was it GW?)) wore skirts and a velvet coat to garden in.  I've longer for a velvet coat ever since.  Skirts and thick woolly tights with boots - nice.  But somehow I always end up on trousers.
Love how you've used that punnet in your vase @Hostafan1 - ingenious!
We had cauli cheese for supper last night!  OH makes it - he roasts the cauli first, tossed in oil and curry powder, before baking it in a cheese sauce. Mmmm. But my favourite bit is always the 'chips' (or scallop potatoes - flat roasted potato, not sure what to call them).
Hope D2 gets on an even keel soon @Busy-Lizzie.  And that you enjoyed the fireworks.
Hope your poor woofa's toe heals well @raisingirl.  All the targets set at COP 26 seem to be too far into the future and too easy on the big oil and coal producers.  Saw an interview with the boss of Shell who said rather patronisingly that they had to continue producing and selling oil to pay for greener power in the future.  Well - how long ago was it that they came up with that new green logo?  With no govt. able to stand up to them and tell them they have to start phasing it out NOW we have no hope. They run the world through ownership of the Republican party in the US and with how embroiled we all are with them financially.  The interview said if you have a pension it will be invested with them.  But while our lawmakers stand to continue gaining financially from producing and burning fossil fuels we have no hope.
A self-saucing chocolate sponge sounds delicious @D0rdogne_Damsel!  How are you feeling now - got over your change of season doldrums?
    Fantastic sky @Pat E

After a 2-year absence the little Christmas craft fair I like to do with my jewellery was back on yesterday.  And I did rather well! Busy all day with lots of lovely customers and my fellow stall holders were nice and friendly - good to see some of the old faces. Don't know when I'll do another craft fair - so busy organising things of my own.

Now - must wrap younger granddaughters b'day presents - popping round for a cup of tea and a bit of cake in a bit.  And hopefully a hug.
