Oh @punkdoc stay there and rest. Ma would have recommended lemon barley water. 🤗 😷
I'm suggesting a moderate amount of a good single malt.

I’ve been prescribing hot toddies for several days @Hostafan1, but he’s either not taking them often enough or they’re not working.

Maybe alternating hot toddies with hot buttered rum would work?

Been trying the hot toddies, am enjoying them, but at the moment nothing seems to be working.
Have a bare root Rose been waiting for a week, no chance of planting it at the moment.

  • Enjoying them is good @punkdoc … a slightly elevated mood is good for the immune system isnt it?
the rose should be fine this weather 🌧

OH has just opened his birthday present from his stepdaughter, a Talisker Sky Single Malt - puts my offering of Famous Grouse into the shade!
He's also had a bottle of Chateau Tour de Capet Saint Emilion Grand Cru from his stepson and we've jointly received a delayed anniversary present of a Cremant de Loire Brut - not that we're alcoholics or anything!

    Good evening.

I’ve never had hot buttered rum and I feel I have missed out as sounds amazing 🤤

Hope tomorrow is a better day Punk - sounds like you are having a horrid time of it.

Just watching Masterchef before the leccy blanky goes on for bed. Stay safe and cosy all (or cool for Pat).

  • Sorry to hear about your relapse @punkdoc.  I  find tincture of echinacea helps me,  it's supposed to help the immune system.

OH has just spent the last hour in front of the TV with a very good single malt from a local Norfolk distillery. We watched "Showtrial", looks promising.

We were going to have fish, haddock, from Waitrose for dinner. Eat by tomorrow, it absolutely reeked, thrown it away. Had Waitrose Chicken Kiev instead but it wasn't as tasty as Morrisons version. May not bother going to Waitrose again, further away anyway.

Morning everyone and thanks for the thought Aunty Rach.
It is cooler today, but who knows what will transpire as the day goes on.

Hubby has been asked to accompany a mate today who is chainsawing down a large tree. He wants someone else there in case something goes wrong. Not sure what Hubby could do if the damned tree fell on his mate, but I guess he could call an ambulance.

We’ve eventually worked our way through the whole series of Lucifer and now I’m devastated that I won’t be able to watch him playing the piano and singing. 😢
Hubby has found another show that has promise - Annika.  We’ve had a few laughs.

Hope you feel better soon Punkdoc.  It sounds like a nasty virus that you’ve managed to pick up.
