@Pat E I've posted a link to the pattern on the Crafters thread, in case anyone else wants to use it.  It's a handy site with free patterns  and they print off easily and I found them very clear to follow.  :)

    Good afternoon to you all.

I hope you have a lovely day.  Fair weather here and looks to continue through the week.  Noice!

Hello all, sorry I'm late. We are sharing OH's laptop. I have my phone but it has French spellcheck, very frustrating, and I can't workout how to change it.

I've spent most of the day attacking 2 honeysuckles and an overgrown Albertine rose. The roses didn't get pruned last year as I wasn't allowed to leave France because of Covid. Have filled 3 of those huge green garden bags.

I hope Scruffy is OK @Obelixx.

Now off to the pub for a pre dinner drink D

Oh @Pat E - that looks bleating delicious!
Plans to spend the day in the garden totally scuppered.  I'll just get this sorted out... and this ... oh and I must answer this email, and this one ... And then it's too late.  I'm gonna have to schedule a day, put it in my diary and set an 'out of office' on my emails.

I can't believe how depressing the BBC 6 O'clock news was tonight.
Starvation in Afghanistan [ truly horrific pictures ], followed by the mental health crisis in Burnley [ although it could have been any town in the UK ]

I listen to the radio news instead @punkdoc … I find those pictures quite bad enough. 😞

When I had my first mental health crisis, I saw a psychiatrist within 48 hours of seeing my GP. The waiting list now is often 18 months, what can we do?

Chance of seeing a GP within 48 hours pretty unlikely. I think you are now expected to use a self help app via the NHS website. Pre Covid, a friend’s daughter child showing signs of anorexia had to wait four months for an assessment.
Id certainly stop watching the news, and ration reading it, too. OH and I feel much better since we banned news programmes. I know it’s still going on out there, but a diet of desperate doom and gloom three or more times a day was making me despair of the human race.

I just don’t know @punkdoc … other than what I always say … we need politicians who are brave, and angry enough to stand on the ticket of being honest about how much we each need to pay in order to fund the services we need.

John Smith and Charles Kennedy … what huge losses those men were 😢

Did anyone watch Stephen Merchant’s The Outlaws this evening?  Looks like a really good series. If you didn’t watch it catch up on Iplayer … you’ll regret it if you don’t.

Night night folks. Sleep tight 😴
