    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Hope you’ve all had a restful night … I slept like a log … the morning here is still and dry … OH is at home … we have a big smoked gammon hock to cook for supper … I’ll par-cook it then strip the rind and stud it with cloves and slather it with mustard and marmalade and pop it in the oven to glaze  … we’ll have roast potatoes with carrots and leeks in white sauce. Yum 😋
There’ll be lots left to have with baked potatoes and homemade pickles tomorrow, and the  cooking liquor to make soup for OHs lunches … and it only cost thruppence 👍

I put an extra blanket on top of the duvet last night, and slept like a log. Maybe time to change to the warmer duvet. Grey and dull out with a little light rain shower. The crows have been waiting outside for their breakfast, and the Jay has been to the windowsill to collect some nuts. Day at home today. OH has treated himself to a new drill, so will be looking for tasks to try it on. Still too many to choose from!

Morning @punkdoc ... don't think it's going to be gardening weather up your way today.  Looks good down on the St Ives webcams tho  B)  You could enjoy watching some footie on catch-up tv ... my son (a Chelsea supporter) is going to enjoy discussing yesterday's result with his father who's a Norwich City supporter ............. I'm still a Tractor Girl, thankfully 🤣

Lovely morning here in Surrey 😎

Need to make a quick trip to the GC to get more bags of compost, as my bulb planting session yesterday exhausted my supplies.  Got a few more to do, and some rooted cuttings to pot on.  Got all my onion and garlic sets in …… so hopefully some new shoots to look forward to 🌱🌱🌱.

Going up to visit littlest Chicklet this evening, and take her out for a pizza and a gossip 👨‍👩‍👧

Lovely happy photo @D0rdogne_Damsel - enjoy your holiday and some well earned familytime.

Good morning Forkers.  Sunny here at the mo but clouds coming in and a bit of rain expected this pm.  Maybe.

OH is feeling "guested" out now - hasn't talked so much for years.   It's been great catching up with the long lost cousin and hearing tales of family I've never met or not seen since I was 14.   Great to see our ex neighbours too - Possum rode for years at their riding school and I helped out with events so all sorts of news about their family and other friends and acquaintances and lots of laughter.

We took them to see Clémenceau's house and garden yesterday.  Loved the house which is right on the beach with great views of the shore and Atlantic and opposite headland but very modest for such a prominent politician.  The garden was ordinary tho it did provide shelter from ocean winds and salt.

Quiet day for us then and maybe a bit of playing with bulbs I still have to plant.

Have a lovely day everyone and happy hols @D0rdogne_Damsel.   How long are you over for this time @Busy-Lizzie?
