No desire to be rude @Lizzie27, but there are approximately 8000 people with COVID in hospital. If each stay about 10 days, that is a massive number of other things that can’t be done. The NHS is getting very close to the edge, again.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Your husband needs a new hip doesn't he @Lizzie27? He won't get it while Covid cases are taking up hospital resources from beds to staff to equipment and the waiting lists will just get longer and longer for knees, cataracts, cardiac and cancer patients who could be saved if caught and treated early but won't be because of Covid and the flu season hasn't even started yet.

Evening all. Noticeable chill tonight (I moved a few plants to the back porch). Sat outside at a cafe for lunch today - me and my sis were the only ones ‘braving’ the patio but it was lovely, plus extra safe.
Must be a change in weather as 1. Had soup for tea, 2. wore tights today, 3. started a jigsaw!
Our Belgian neighbours have arrived. Lots of lovely chat about old friends and acquaintances and their family too and I made them medieval style salmon in pastry based on a recipe by Joyce Molyneux with plum and almond cobbler for pud. We didn't get to cheese.
It's been a good day all round, including weather but is definitely feeling fresh tonight. OH said to let him know when we though the heating should go on. Not yet.

@Obelixx, We are well aware of that. You don't need to rub it in.
@Punkdoc, With respect, I understand that approximately 2000 of the 8000 are people who are in hospital for other reasons but who have tested positive for covid whilst they were there. There is a difference.
Morning all,had been awake ages, got up at 5,big old moon out there.yes, nice positive day here. Dogs on the beach first. Oh, that's a Shame,in cropping ( and, yes, rotating) the picture, you can't see the dogs. Shower, into the new clothes, off to our favourite restaurant/pub. I too have been up since 5 after lying awake for an hour.
@Busy-Lizzie, nice to have you home.
