Had a very enjoyable couple of hours in Dunelm this morning with my friend and devoured an apple and blackcurrant cake which was rather scrummy. She bought up the shop as usual but I managed to be more restrained, just treating myself to a new bathmat and odds and sods.
When I got back, discovered an email invite for my booster jab, as has my OH, so we've managed to books slots within ten minutes of each other next Wednesday. We've flu jabs on Saturday and I didn't want them too close to each other. I've also been called in for an eye test and have dentists early November - my, we lead an exciting life!
I forgot to to say @Busy-Lizzie, we found doing the C19 locator form a real PITA too. We manage to do ours on line but the travel Co reps did lots of work on behalf of many of the passengers. We have done our day 2 PCR tests today and sent them off, just have to wait for the results now. As we had our booster before we went, not expecting any issues.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Another beautiful moon over Porthmeor https://www.aspects-holidays.co.uk/st-ives-porthmeor-webcam and shining in our bedroom window … it’s a rather wonderful thought that we’re looking out towards that lovely view … (it’s a link to a live webcam so latecomers will miss the moon)
Sunny and bright is on the cards today, marred only by strong winds. Bon voyage @Busy-Lizzie Happy landing!
The moon at the moment is stunning - I'm sure I should be doing something in the garden by it!! The Med doesn't seem to have a tidal system. It'd probably be cleaner if it had one. As a child in NZ and living near the sea, the best days were when the tide was low and going out looking for small fry and crabs. Still waiting for some rain so that I can pull out the weeds.
@floralies I hope the dentist has given you some Dalfagan or something to reduce pain and inflammation. I have that problem also.

Another terrible nights sleep, so won’t be doing much today.

And then of course there’s the total plonkers who don’t understand what a warning of ‘high tides … do not park here’ actually means https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/weather/blakeney-flooding-strands-cars-8431890 🙄. Wonder what their insurance companies will say?
