It's very bright and breezy here ... my main task for today is to take George to the Italicar garage ... since we returned from holiday he's been a bit reluctant to start, even with a new battery a few months ago ... I suspect it's an alternator problem ... the Lovely Luke is going to sort it out ... if I have to leave George there Luke's dad will drive me home ... they're very helpful.
Apart from that I'll make a ragu to have with linguine for supper ... do a bit of preparatory work for our C'mas cards and knit, knit, knit ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good morning all, that is a lovely picture @Pat E, we often sit on our terrace and look at the cloud pictures, they can be so life like. I always have Dafalgan here @tui34 prescribed by my doctor for all my aches and pains! I am struggling to bring on some small Viola plug plants from Promesse de fleurs they are not good specimens, i have never had a problem before with them but these are poor quality - no tea bags on them @Nollie! Washing is on so lets hope the sun stays out.
Good morning Forkers. The moon is indeed lovely at the mo and the local owls are in full voice when we get back from late outings - dance last night and she made us do 45 mins of samba then 12 of cha-cha and 12 of jive. Full on workout!
Sunny so far and much prepping going on - bedding changes for the next lot of visitors this afternoon, food preps, more cleaning of floors etc after all those feet and paws and that storm. Possum has taken herself off to the hairdresser in Les Sables cos they "understand" her very thick, straight hair better than the locals.
Happy birthday @Nanny Beach . Safe journey @Busy-Lizzie. Lots of fossicking for shellfish and crabs along the shores here @tui34 - proper ocean and waves and rocks. People like to do it along the causeway between Noirmoutier and the mainland and at least one plonker a week ignores the warnings and gets trapped by the tide racing in and ends up losing the car and being rescued from one of the refuge beacons. Insurance companies don't cover them anymore @Dovefromabove as the warnings are clear.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Happy birthday, Nanny Beach! I must keep up with all these birthdays. My sister has four children and eleven grandchildren, and there are birthdays almost weekly from now until December. Always slows up her Christmas prep while she has one celebration after another. Certainly no pre Christmas diet possible. Dry but cloudy here, and cooler. Heating on. poor Punkdoc, hopefully you don’t have any commitments today and can have a nap when you need one.
