Hi everyone, bit mixed weather wise today, it stayed dry but after a bright start it turned vert dull. Got a bit more done at the Allotments, but I am still very behind where I should be. My left elbow is giving me gyp at the moment so I am having to stick to light jobs only. Regards to all.
Dry weekend here, but we've been very slow. Smallest has a bad cold and cough, so as well as a fun trip to the Gatwick test centre on Friday to try to swab her tonsils (negative thankfully) there's not been a good night's sleep for a couple of days.
OH cut the grass today so I followed along shearing the edges, then half killed myself aggressively raking the wildflower lawn to sow yellow rattle. Only to find I didn't really have enough seed. Oh well. If a job's worth doing it's worth doing half-arsed 😉
Oh dear - I'm way behind! Quickly trying to catch up before the Strictly results come on. Giverny looked gorgeous @Allotment Boy. If only we had been as strict with our covid precautions here I'm sure the infection rates wouldn't be as high as they are now. And a bleated happy anniversary @Pat E. Sounds like you are getting it together @punkdoc if you are bagging up green waste. (But reading on I see you are still having bad nights I've got 6 bags of composted fine bark waiting for me to start mulching my beds. Happy birthday to everyone with birthdays at the moment. It was my sister's 70th (I didn't realise, I was a year out, so as soon as I did know it was the Big One flowers had to be sent pronto. Chose Bloom & Wild and they did a lovely autumn bouquet with foliage, grasses, berries etc. Sister delighted as she uses natural things in the crafts she does. Glad George is fixed @Dovefromabove. And welcome back to East Anglia @Busy-Lizzie. Gorgeous pics @D0rdogne_Damsel. That's a lot of bulb planting @Hostafan1! Lovely bright day here today. I had a load of flyers to drop off in an area to the south of us known as the Saints. Flyer delivery companies won't touch it as it is a large area and the parishes are all remote from each other, with few houses, farms down tracks etc. And yes we did get lost - very easy to do - but recovered and managed to offload a load of leaflets. (For a new community bus service that's going to go round the Saints and bring people into Bungay one day a week). I love being off the beaten track - down single lane tracks with passing places. But where there are deep dykes either side of the road - careful driving! Wouldn't like to do it in the dark. Time to make a cuppa and get ready for the Strictly Results...
Been very gloomy and a tad chilly today. Finished my 500 piece jigsaw “birds in the garden”, made some soups and stews and not much else. Back to work tomorrow so the Sunday sulk has kicked in. Just having a cuppa and Welsh Cake before finding a programme or podcast for bedtime.
Take care all and have a good week. The clocks change next weekend.
