I can let you have some poisonous mushrooms I have just sauted. The fungi in question (clouded agaric, Clytocybe nebularis) gets listed as poisonous as it causes gastric upset in 1 in 5 people but doesn't affect me. I get a good crop from the garden and have been eating them for several years now. However as they say in all the best TV programmes "don't try this at home".
Like hedgehogs mating - carefully. Try a little piece then a little bit more next time if all OK. Not a general technique to be used for all fungi I must add, that wouldn't work for the deadly varieties which are all well named - deathcap, funeral bell, destroying angel etc.
@punkdoc, exactly so I think we have been far too slack in this country. Staff we even patrolling in Monets garden telling people to put their masks on. I had to explain to our tour rep how slack it is here, & explained why so many of our fellow passengers had to be constantly reminded about their masks and to carry their vaccination certificates, at all times. We felt fairly safe on ship though as it was a condition of the trip, no-one was allowed on board without providing evidence of double jab, staff or passengers.
