Annoying not to get good sleep @punkdoc, but at least you know what’s causing it … it’s something that will pass … in the meantime what about having a 40 min rest/nap after lunch each day … a proper designated time, on the bed, under a blanket, curtains closed. Put a podcast or something on BBC Sounds on quietly … something calm … and set an alarm for 40 mins and get up when it goes off, whether you sleep or not. That way you’re getting some rest but not overdoing it in a way that would stop you sleeping at night.
If you think you’re not old enough to need an afternoon nap, my OH has done exactly that every day that he’s at home ever since I acquired him, and as you know he’s 20 years my junior. He says it gives him energy. 😊

Yawn, morning people, what exactly is sleep and how do you 'non chemically" obtain it! I didn't know your hubby was 20 years younger Dove, mine is 8 (years younger, although I sometimes wonder if he IS 8) I can't bear it when people say"ooh a toy boy." When I was ,40 I had a relationship with a 25 year old, anyway, enough of that. Have great day whatever you are all up to
A "power nap" it is called apparently. I would say a "cat nap" . I have a rest after lunch but can never find that sleep zone. I read usually or just close my eyes and try and empty my monkey brain. My late husband, a builder, would lie on the couch, snore for 20 minutes, get up and splash cold water over his face, take 5 sweets and go to work. Wish I could do that.

Glad to hear it @punkdoc .... but you don't need to think of it as something you do because you're ill ... OH is as fit as a flea ... his GP says he has the BP of an athlete. Apparently two sleeps in 24 hours is how our bodies work best ... scientists say so

Good morning Forkers. It's dull and grey and so misty the ground looks wet tho we've had no rain. Been to the vet this morning with Rasta who has had her tail shaved and cleaned. Very sore and swollen around an infection that may be a bite or a wound and had quite a bit of "mass". Injections followed with ore antibiotics and anti-inflammatories for the next 10 days as well as wound dressing. Vet impressed by improvised collar so we get to keep that on too.
Now to cook a full English brunch as I don't get back from patch and mosaic till 8:30 and need good, slow burn fuel.
Hope everyone's OK.

@Nanny Beach there’s probably quite a few things about me that many folk don’t know … even after having been on here all these years 🤣
