We have rain and it's set to stay for hours and maybe even all night and get very blustery around midnight.  That's OK tho as we'll all be tucked up and the polytunnel will be closed to keep the last of the tomatoes warm along with the chillies, now ripening well, and the teeny baby PSB and cavolo nero.

Busy all tomorrow visiting with the garden club so I hope it dries up by late morning.  Busy on Monday with a defibrillator class then patch and the first mosaic class of the year then busy again with friends coming for lunch on Wednesday so bulb planting for me has to wait a few days but at least the ground will have softened and the weeds will be easier to pull.  They'll go in groups of 5 or 7 and have a marker in case I need to do more weeding thru a long autumn.

Sorry you're feeling low @punkdoc.  Hope the seed sowing helps you find your "glass half full" side and that the mini break does Moira a power of good.   Hope you're feeling better today @AuntyRach.

Have a lovely time @Busy-Lizzie and maybe take the scenic route home to avoid all those trucks.  Safe journey for you too @Dovefromabove.   We've just had English breakfast for lunch but I draw the line at fried bread.  To greasy for me.

    Greetings to all not mentioned.

    Afternoon all.

Rainy and uninspiring here. Starting to feel better! My symptoms peaked about 12-16 hours post jab and faded this morning.

Enjoy the little things folks - it’s what makes the bad things easier.

What seeds you sowing Punk? My Foxgloves and Honesty sown in August have developed into nice looking plants.

Hi folks, sorry I've been absent for a while but I've been really busy.  Problems with Secondborn's ex have caused lots of stress for us all and I've been looking after the boys for her.  On a more positive note I've returned to my Knit and Natter group on Friday mornings and have finally found a suitable drawing class.  I've been looking for one for ages but they were always on days I couldn't make.  I really enjoyed Thursday's class and I'm looking forward to the next one.
I have read back but can't remember a lot of your exploits.
Sorry to hear about your difficult news @punkdoc. Hope you enjoy your seed sowing, it always cheers me up too.  Sending positive thoughts and hugs to you and @Hostafan1
Hope you are feeling better @Topbird.  Sorry if I've missed anyone out.

Hello folks ... we arrived home at just after 12.30 having had a detour to the farm where I was born to pick up some very fine fresh veg, (including the best Swiss chard I've seen outside my own garden) , a chicken to roast tomorrow, a steak and ale pie for tonight, eggs, a loaf of bread and a bunch of gladioli  from their fantastic farm shop :D

I've had my feet up while OH unpacked and made me a coffee ... then we had a doze and he's phoned his mum and I've texted my offsprung (haven't I @WonkyWomble :))

Now I'll assemble a load of washing ...

    Thank you @didyw :)

    Want a giggle?

You know that picnic I packed for our journey to Cornwall?  It's still in our fridge 🤣

I put it on the work top to be packed.

Apparently OH (having worked in a food shop and being careful about such things) put it in the fridge.

Because it wasn't where Id left it I assumed he'd packed it.  He was in charge of the packing.

The air was tinged with blue in a layby about three hours into the journey when he realised where it was.  He had to mask up and go into a Wrose at a service station and buy sausage rolls, sarnies and bananas ... I'm so glad it was Mr Organised who did something like that and not me 😆

Glad you’re back safe @Dovefromabove. Did you find the song from the Hairy Bikers from the link I sent you.?
