    Good morning.

Very mild here too @Nanny Beach  with fog descending slowly over the landscape.  No sun today and I fear, no rain either.  Woe betide us all when the rain does fall - and fall, I imagine it will !!

Gay Paree for a little Paris by Night @Allotment Boy   Great city to just meander around the streets.

So inside games today starting off with oiling the not-teak outdoor table and chairs.

Talking to my nurse neighbours on a walk with our dogs, they are sick of the people who are ignorant enough to refuse the C-vaccination.  The patients in Covid are of course not vaccinated and there is much unrest.  There is talk of penalties/fines to treat unvaccinated patients.  They fear the worst is yet to come as we head into winter.  Masks are no longer mandatory in the school classroom.... I don't know what it is like for the English contingent here @floralies   @Busy @Busy-Lizzie and @Obelixx but the general atmosphere down here is one very laid back attitude.

A la Saint-René; couvre ton nez!!

Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

Tui34 just listened to Richard Madley ITV breakfast,he said he had just come back from France, that they were far stricter about masks, vaccine passports. I was nursing over 40 years, hubby and I always masks, good hand hygiene, distance, every day you go shopping (newspapers!) Less and less people wear masks, distance. It's not just younger generation now either. Last night, news a hospital in Ireland saying it's ITU 80% patients young and with Covid.

    Morning all.

It's quite strict here @Tui, everyone wears masks inside shops and most do in town. There is still hang gel everywhere and Covid health passes are essential in all eating and drinking places. Distancing has never been quite as noticeable as it was in the UK last year but people still hold back a bit, maybe a metre.

It's sunny today. I'll do some tidying up of the garden. Cloudy tomorrow so that will be a HW day. Going to Leclerc SM in a minute, don't need much as off to Norfolk on Friday.

Eight courgettes plus two little ones from two plants in mid October. I think that’s pretty good … they'll make a tasty pasta bake foe supper with some tomatoes, onion, herbs and mozzarella 😋

Morning all, another nice day forecast. @tui34 mask wearing is still obligatory here in the shops with hand gel and spray for trollies. Most people are still keeping their distance, most tradesmen are wearing masks when they come to us apart from one who has just finished chemo and refuses, and of course is very vulnerable to infection but he doesn't seem to care!
I have the last of my dried chillies to whizz up and put in a jar, I think we'll grow more next year. Glad you enjoyed your trip @Allotment Boy but it's always nice to get home to your own bed.

Good morning Forkers.  Bright and sunny here so I've been cleaning windows on teh south and west side of the house and am about to do north.  East will have to wait till after lunch.   We're set to have murky starts for the next few days tho with sunny afternoons.  Good for beach walks with guests.

@tui34 the chilli seeds have arrived safely.   Thank you!

@Nanny Beach Rasta will be 15 next April.   She tried to tuck her tail under this morning when it was time to anoint her wounds but the end still wagged under her belly.   Funny girl.   Bonzo Hoover Lab will be going on 13 but we don't know his exact age.  Both are rescues and still very sprightly, energetic and playful.

We still have masks for shopping and hand and trolley sprays in shops and supermarkets.  Pass sanitaires have to be produced for public meetings, club activities, sports, eating and drinking establishments, public transport etc.   Distancing was only ever 1m here and people are still good about it in public places.

I was told yesterday of a patch lady's friend who was, when last seen,  putting off getting vaccinated.  Just 2 days later he caught Covid, was admitted to hospital with severe breathing difficulties and did not come out alive.  All the ladies at patch and mosaic are double vaccinated.  Some have had their boosters and the rest are waiting for their 6 months to be up for the booster.

Right then, tea break over so back to the cleaning.  Have a good trip back @Allotment Boy and a good day everyone.
