Hope it eases soon @Allotment Boy  :)  I had my flu jab in my left arm yesterday ... I never have much of a reaction (does that mean that my immune system is rubbish I wonder 🤔) and I slept quite happily on my left side last night ... I actually had a very good night indeed .... it's a bit tender if I squeeze it hard, but that's all.  My first two Covid jabs were the same .... no real effect at all.

    Good morning Forkers.

Bright and sunny here and a bit fresh after a clear night with loads of stars.   Lovely to see them when we got home form dance class as there are no lights here.

Woke up in the early hours feeling cold despite wearing my emergency nightie so grabbed some ski socks out of the drawer and put those on too.  This morning I've put the lighter duvet on the bed.

Next job - after a cuppa - is sewing but that should be done by tomorrow so I can do some sowing.   Want to try some Chinese cabbage and it'll soon be time to sow broad beans.

OH has his booster booked for the first week of November but, being 2 years younger and jabbed later, I have to wait to book mine for early December.

I hope all sore arms settle down and we all have an enjoyable and/or productive day.

No mention of jabs of any kind from my local GP.  Also awaiting an appointment to see the nurse to have my blood pressure checked and to take a blood sample.  At least I can make an appt with Boots and get the flu jab done.
It's much warmer out than it looks isn't it?

  • We are a bit ahead of our age group,  we think when we were first called it was because they were filling up slots.  As that was January,  we've been correspondingly early for jab 2 and now booster. No complaints though.  One disadvantage of being on the skinny side is there's less of me for them to put the jab into.  My OH is like you Dove no reaction at all,  but we know she has antibodies as she was tested, so it did work.

I’m well over my 6 months now and not a word.

    Morning all.

I've had an email about the 3rd jab but it's too soon to have it yet, 6 months in November.

I am planning to finish my new bed today, not much left to dig and compost. Then I'll plant the flowers parked in the veg garden and daffodils, tulips and Alliums Purple Sensation. Next weed I'll tackle the veg garden, but it's partially cleared up.

@CharlotteF, No idea WHY we've got 2 washing machines, but it's handy

2 dishwashers here @Hostafan1 as we brought our white goods from Belgium and there was a dishwasher here so we plumbed ours in the scullery end of the pantry next to the washing machine.  We've had a new kitchen since with a new dishwasher so I gave the old one away to the couple who bought the old cooker.   Very handy when I've been having a cooking fest or we have guests.

We also have Possum's washing machine in the "cave" but not plumbed in.

We've also got her fridge-freezer and that's plugged in and full already.   The little drinks fridge had to move to the cave where I will use it when I start making cheese.  Got to find someone willing to sell me unpasteurised organic milk first.   There is no French substitute for Caerphilly, Cheshire, Lancashire or Wensleydale.  I use mature Gouda for cheddar.

Don't the SMs have Cheddar where you are @Obelixx? They do here.

@Lyn the email said I couldn't have it until 6 months are the 2nd jab, even though it was an invitation. So I will have to wait.

Finished digging my new bed, now for planting, but I need more compost.
