Well done @chicky, you can give the little grey cells a bit of a rest now. We went to our favourite GC today & bought some bulbs , both ornamental and edible. Tree men are finished for now it transpires its actually 3 doors up, but they are taking it all out through the neighbours garden. That garden always gets very overgrown and then hacked down again so there's nothing to damage there, I guess they must have negotiated, with the owner. As the trees were on the boundary I guess they are benefiting. We now have much more light in the late afternoon.
I'm so sorry @chicky, I had just remembered you were busy doing exams this week and was going to log back in and say don't bother, but thank you anyway.
You must be a glutton for punishment! I'm a bit confused though, I thought you had just passed and got gold stars - was that another set of exams or last year's?
There’s 8 exams in total for the Level 2 Principles of Horticulture- I did 4 last June and 4 today. Should have been 4 in Feb and 4 in June but COVID lockdown at the beginning of the year pushed them all back. And I’m now doing the Level 2 practical at college - but that’s all continuous assessment- no big exams to prepare for. At the end of it all I hope to have earned enough credits for a Diploma - which is a bit exciting …..never had one of those before 🤣
Well done @chicky, onwards and upwards to the Diploma. Will you do anything with the qualifications later?
The mug cupboard in the kitchen smelt a bit musty. I've scrubbed it out, washed all the mugs and painted the inside of it. It was lined with particle board.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

My under sink cupboard didn't smell too fresh when I opened the door . Do you think it might have been the dead mouse in the trap which was the culprit?
I have read back (quite a few pages whipped thru since I was last on), so well done @SamBevington. @BenCotto you sound to have an awful lot to deal with but so positive, I'd like to think I would be so brave, but not sure I would be.
Amazing what a difference a few trees removed make @Allotment Boy, and you have't even had to do the hard work.
Long drive @Busy-Lizzie, my least favourite thing to do. The country route seems a much nicer option.
Paperwork day for me today - another hateful task, but the worst is over now and I feel like I am on top of it, with a plan to stay on top of it too! (she says)
Well done @chickytoo, rather you than me, I still remember swotting up and revising for my English Lit exams, so many books to know and no idea which one would come up in the exams.... Definitely worth a G&T.
I am doing Sober October, in fact started over a week ago, I am on holiday from the 23rd of October so will finish early, but I am being very good and making sure I do four weeks. After a day stuck at the desk I could have very happily opened a bottle of red tonight, but I resisted. Gold Star for me.
Off to bed now, how can sitting all day be more exhausting than dashing around a kitchen and restaurant?
Goodnight all, I'll try and pop in topmorrow.
