Oh dear, @Topbird, you do sound in a bad way. I hope it's on the way out soon and you feel a bit comfier tomorrow.

I miscounted, it was 350 daffodils, not 300. I have planted 147. Feeling a bit stiff, but back is OK now. Also mowed the veg garden area.

Tomorrow I'm going to Son 1, Benny, three little daughters, for the weekend. It's a 5 hour drive.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Goodness me Busy. That is a huge number of daffodils but they will look super next Spring. Are they mixed daffodils or all one variety? Have a very safe journey tomorrow in case you don't have time to look in and enjoy a lovely weekend with your son and his family.

  • Topbird poor you, sorry to hear your unwell.  Keep wrapped up, feed the cold and hope it soon passes.  LB I’m glad you’ve had a good catch up with bestie.  It spurs you on for the day.  Hazel the personal alarms can be very loud.  I had that happen some years ago and it took me a while to find the pin but not in such a busy place.🤭  A relief when I did.  Lily well done for finding a coat to keep you warm and some snuggly socks.  Biglad take care, don’t wear yourself out.  Busy take care while planting.
  • Really  pleased with my purchases today,  especially my coat. Couldn't help getting the boots too @Ladybird4 😂   they were on my list for this winter.  And the snuggly socks @bluebellsinthewild 🤗
@Busy-Lizzie goodness that's a lot of bulbs planted today. Hope you don't ache in the morning.
@Topbird hope you feel better soon.
Can't believe it's October tomorrow, where did September go!!
Night night everyone, hope we all get a good night's sleep tonight.

    Thank you.
Mixed daffodils @Ladybird4, from Minnow to King Alfred, mixed doubles, Cheerfulness, species ones, Thalia, Actea, Ice Follies - 15 different ones.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • I slept until 3.15am and suddenly had the munchies.  I’ve had an early breakfast and a soothing cup of tea.  I’ve ordered a faux fur lounger to wear at home for the winter months, won’t be dispatched until November, it gets very cold here.  It has a fur hood to warm your head.  Best to plan ahead rather than be cold.  Lily so pleased your happy with your purchases.  Topbird I hope you managed to sleep.  Maybe the tsv. would be good for you.  Busy wishing you a good journey. LB you’ll have been pleased to note the tanker delivering.  Hazel your daughter was lucky to get the jumper just in time.   I’ve fed Alfie and made another cup of tea and I’m wrapped up in a throw.
