  • LB I hope you enjoyed your meal out with the quizzers   Good not to have to do the cooking now and again. Lily I’d left the heating on and woke up toasty warm.  Hazel I’m glad everything organised in the cul de sac.  Rubee I did get back to sleep this afternoon thank you.  Topbird I’m sure Alfie will love the furry lounger.  I’m glad you had a better night.  Biglad I wonder where the milk went?

Hazel ,the carpet looks lovely . My cats ruined the last one . It had a long pile which they scratched.Never had that problem before . I hope they leave this shorter pile carpet alone. Tried to send Bluebell a pic of new carpet but messaging is a bit hit and miss today .
Hazel sorry to hear that your daughter isn’t well today .
LB you have had an enjoyable time .Makes up for the bad weather .

It has been horrid here since I got home. Got some good news from Chey, his roof has finally been completed so at least he won't have to deal with that horrible damp. His medication is working really well and he is feeling a lot happier.
RosieBB, I'm glad you have had some 'catch up sleep' this afternoon but I hope it doesn't mean that you will be up all night!
Hazel, your daughter will have enjoyed having her Mum round to give her some love and care. I do hope she feels better soon.
Rubee, I'm glad you are pleased with the new carpet. Fingers crossed the cats don't get interested in shredding it.

I eventually arrived, 6 hours journey. It poured all the way after Angoulême and Tom Tom took me by motorways, lorry spray, nearly 50€ tolls, 90kms longer than ordinary roads. Son said the normal roads way is much quicker.

The granddaughters have gone to bed, which is where I will be going soon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • @Rubee glad you're pleased with your new carpet. Hope puss cats behave and don't scratch this one.
@Songbird-1 think you must have sent the sun, it's been beautiful this afternoon.
@Ladybird4 glad you had a lovely day and enjoyed your meal.  Good news about Cheys fixed roof. Good to hear his medication is working.

    18 Snoopy Good Morning Wishes
Hello everyone. Busy, that sounds like a nightmare drive. I would have seized up in my car after 6 hours. I am glad that you have arrived safely though and I know that you will enjoy your weekend with the family. No spoilers but I have to say that I thought GW was disappointing last night. Debs, breathe deeply and count to 10!
I had a phone call from my sister last night saying that she and BIL are going off to France on Monday for a fortnight. They are driving down Busy and as usual they will have an overnight stop. They are going across on the ferry but when they return they will come via the Chunnel. She also said that next year we might finally get back to some semblance of normal and have our ladies Autumn week away. I will miss not going this year but am not too disappointed as my garden needs some serious attention. Not much will happen today though - Marti! Quick SM dash this morning for some essentials. Have a lovely day today all of you.

I am pleased that things are looking better for him.Have a good day folks .
  • Morning everyone, it's a bit chilly this morning, but it's not a dark or wet morning.
Just having my 2nd cup of tea curled up on the sofa. Not sure what we're doing today, probably a bit in the garden if it stays dry. Will put the whirly washing line in the garage, can't see much wet cloth things being put out now.
    Have a lovely day everyone.
