@pitter-patter, I like your choice, very beautiful roses, vase and background wall colour.

@Victoria Sponge, lovely rose selection. Looking forward to photos in next season.

Weather has turned mild this week, if I had time, I would have spent all day in garden. Good thing with roses is, there is so much flexibility. I am sure they will be alright even if I prune in March.

  • Thank you, @Omori and @newbie77. It’s wonderful to still be able to pick roses so late in the season - and they have scent too!

@Victoria Sponge nice collection of nostalgic roses there. I'm keen to see how ulmer munster fares for you.

And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

  • Oh was that one you had an eye on @Eustace? I never saw it prior to ordering, I was just searching TCL, new roses I think, for inspiration.

I actually haven't got it in the ground yet...might do it today if I have time as am working from home again.

It is the vibrant red colour that drew my attention. Probably one for my wishlist.

    Ooh that rose is beautiful!

Got my booster jab yesterday. Feeling run down today. I have injured my hip too, nothing serious but wrong timing.

  • @newbie77 - I always prune in Late winter/Early Spring. Usually on or around Valentine's Day, is when I prune all the roses and apple trees, wisteria etc.

Super Trouper is a super, isn't it. I have been very happy with mine.

@Mr. Vine Eye, I have never pruned my apple trees apart from removing overhanging branches on border. They are big mature trees. Any idea if I need to prune something so big?

I did chat on DA site, and lady there confirmed that no running codes at the moment. Anyway I haven't yet decided what to get with Eustacia Vye. May be wait till new introduction in spring but I am sure they will sell potted version of their new introduction next year.
