I love random purchases, I think it's rather exciting that way..

Still fine here too, windy out I can hear it howling but quite sheltered and my neighbour put a new fence post in after a storm a few years ago and I think its probably sturdier than the original ;) im staying in with the dogs (Bassets), we are joking they'd take off with long ears!

Parents in midlands have a neighbours fence down but nothing else thankfully.

@pitter-patter those were done late October.. did not pay much attention, just pruned the branches and put them in the same pot as it was convenient at that time.. now, if I have to fertilize my roses I will have to find somewhere to put them.. with risk of damaging the young roots...

Quick question please, I think one of my roses planted winter 2019, the runt of the 5, is suffering rose replant disease. If I dig it up, I'm wondering whether I could plant a peony there instead. I have a feeling I can't as roses and paeonies belong to the same family?

Well, my Ghislaine has finally gone in - a stupid spot, ina  hedge, but all I have right now. I'm keeping everything crossed. If it works, it will have been worth the punt. Everything in my gardens are squeezed into foolish crevices.
