My TCL order, I haven't added Heidi Klum, I still might.
Hot today, not been out into the garden yet but had to water the balcony. Diamond Eyes, Blue River, Pearl Drift and England's Rose. These seem ok in the heat up there.
Dioressence is ok there too but is an ugly tall plant with horrible foliage, mildew segued straight to blackspot, this shows only the top half, I defoliated the bottom, should've taken the pic first. Scent good in the heat.Desdemona has to be moved though, the blooms crisp and shatter very quickly
'Rosengrafin Marie Henriette' ('Summer Romance') 'Amazin Day'
@Marlorena I posted some photos of 'Plaisanterie' earlier in the year. Its general character is fully of a hybrid musk/climbing multiflora. Only the colour effect resembles Mutabilis.
@Marlorena Not much, but I have it in a weird spot (shady + competition from c. montana). I think it will grow there (it is a vigorous rose) but will need more time.
@Marlorena your Mutabilis is really taking off and looks fantastic, making me more determined to try again with it. My FD gets barely a whisper of early morning sun and it still burns even in what for me are low temperatures, so I’m coming to the conclusion is really isn’t a rose for warm climates.
One of my favorites, Stormy Weather, the closest I’ve got to a purple rose:
A rose that’s been AWOL all summer has finally put in an appearance, Darcy Bussell:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
@Nollie I think Darcey Bussel prefers part shade rather than full sun. Mine is in its third year. Having already flowered in 2 flushes this season, is gearing up for the third.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth

...fairly short, but I prune mine right back... maybe 70-80cm, but no idea in your climate, maybe more with light pruning..?..
