I ordered the 2 Ladies because of the wonderful photos I saw here, just so you know it, lol.
i need a climbing rose for a North-west facing wall, with very little sun because of 3 poplars in front of my garden. At the moment there is a M.me Alfred Carriere, which is wonderful, but the background wall is white, so its flowers kind of disappear there.
Therefore, I search for a climbing rose with a rich pink, or red, or purple colour, that can bloom repeatedly even with very few hours of sun. Anybody can advise me which rose would fit well in that spot? Thanks!
i thought of Zephirine Drohuin, but then read it’s very prone to mildew, sigh
Lovely to learn what everyone is ordering. No new roses planned for my small garden, although I did get these tulips from Sarah Raven, to go in a large pot.
@Athelas gorgeous blooms. I brought mum olivia rose austin a few weeks ago, hoping it does as well. Sarah Ravens tulip collections are stunning. I love the big baroque ones! Based a few of my choices on her combos.
ORA may land in my basket when DA give a discount, very nice @Athelas
I have soggy roses too, but having felt cooped up just went out before it got too dark. LoS,WOH, Eglantyne and Boscobel
WOH giving off a lit, hollowed-out pumpkin look. The blooms on Golden Beauty get really heavy and have kinked over a couple of weak necksDames de Chenonceaux is getting better and better, not balling and stronger necked Rose de Rescht is not fazed by much, (in border from back) Blackberry Nip is great in the rain, Eye of the tiger less so and Rhapsody in Blue really needed the staking I put in thisweek.
