    I fancied Jude. Would have bought one from the David Austin centre when we visited in summer but they didn't have one for sale. Only in their gardens....I'd left my spade at home!

    I don’t really understand why they discontinue those cracking roses but leave some of the others that aren’t even popular.

    I wish I had got Munstead wood two years ago, instead of being put off by its early floppy nature 😒

    ^ Bit of a rose sale frenzy going on there 😆

    https://en.rose.it/english-roses Is still sending Austins to the UK (or at least they were last year) and have all four of those @Marlorena mentioned in stock at present, plus some other oldies. I have a suspicion many EU suppliers are just running down old stock as they seem to be getting scarcer.

    Lens Roses have agreed to send me a GdeF Standard, hurrah! Postage is a bit punishing but I’ve slipped in Stéphanie d’Ursel and Thisbe to make it worthwhile 😉.

    ..thanks for that information about the Italian nursery... and delighted you're getting the Gde F standard at last.. it's been quite an effort..

    @Mr. Vine Eye  your cottage garden is coming along beautifully, lovely colour mixes..

    @Omori
    Yes I know what you mean.. whoever buys 'Tam O'Shanter'?  I've never seen it or know anyone that has it, yet it remains year after year... well, of course the patent hasn't run out yet.. I'm tempted to get one just for the heck of it..

    My Crown Princess Margareta has not done well for me but that’s not its fault. As a new bare-root it was dug up, chewed, and left out to dry for days before I noticed the dog-based carnage 😐 Add to that it’s in a crap location, yet still it has produced some gorgeous clusters. I think it’s a very worthwhile rose.
