@Tack Thanks for asking.. yeah all are settling down well.. my beales order is pending as well.. loved wild rovers colours.. and the scent was good as per Marlorena.. not sure why they mentioned it as light.. HMF says it has a strong scent..

@Marlorena as you mentioned, I am worried that they might not survive that long with the wet conditions we have.. anyways not pruning that branch now.. will see how long it survives... alternatively will open up one of the hips (later this month) and see if I get anything from them..

  • That's a rather lovely collection of blooms for December, I'd be very pleased with that @Tack. I was surprised to see some flowers today after two batches of snow this week, I should have brought them in.

I'm glad someone else has got Flanders @Fire, I think it's a smashing little rose. Hope they do well for you.

Very impressed you still have such gorgeous blooms out still @Tack!  Assume that orangey is Los? I think your likely to be the winner of the last blooming roses of the season ;)

Im down to my last few, syrie, cadfael and natalija have coloured buds I think will open still and a few clusters on Angel eyes, everything else is pretty much done.

Yes looks like Tack is leading the field there!

I still have the occasional bud forming, encouraged by sunny days, but then succumbing to frost overnight and not opening. I wish they would all go into dormancy now, but if I defoliate them too early they just put out new growth. That’s happened with a few I got impatient with, then I found rose slugs and aphids cheerfully munching on them! It’s December ffs, well past time for pests to die!

No sign of either my Loubert or TCL orders yet, the former due in November and the latter sometime this month. Since the ground is frozen most mornings I’m not too bothered about the delay and am hoping their arrival might coincide with some milder weather.

    They do, don't they @newbie77.

My nicest  coloured hips appear on my rose Penelope, lovely peach/apricot ones.
I've still got two smallish white Winchester Cathedral blooms, the others all all over I think.
