Noticed lots of new growth today in the garden. None of my roses are as far along as yours @Fire - except maybe Lady of the Lake at the front, but I am a lot further north!
Hydrangea Blue bird - planted last summer
Royal Jubilee
Lady of Shalott
Rugosa 1 year old seedling, Rhapsody in Blue and Ghislaine de Feligonde
Heather, which I moved for the second time last year and into a small pot but it looks quite happy!
Narcissus - Bridal Crown, Thalia and a tulip emerging
See how many you can guess! Roll the cursor over to reveal the name (on my browser, at least). I have several listed and have never seen them pictured looking so good. I like that the pictures often show the whole plant, not just a close up of one bloom (pet peeve).
I find myself sighing over Buff Beauty. Oh dear. I see it given by rosarians as their favourite rose. It seems to climb quite well.

In order to find some kind of spring flower that will survive slugs, I have flung them all at this planter. Lol.
@Fire buff beauty is a nice monster. Nothing special needed-it’s the most prolific bloomer in my garden including the Austin’s/ kordes etc. Below you’ll see what I mean -It’s engulfed the espalier tree so much so that I had to prune out all the laterals on the branch across the espalier to let in some light. The longest branch is ~4meters!
@Fire - in that situation (next to a path) they probably don’t feed it. I’m in the same position with Malvern Hills - it has only a few inches between it and edge of the lawn so all of its root system will be running underneath it. There’s no real way to feed it. I did put some rose food down in the small circle around the base but it’s such a small area for such a huge plant and I didn’t want to over-apply it so it was probably pointless.
Well after yesterday's feeding frenzy I feel a bit deflated... so just to say your 'Buff Beauty' is a wonderful sight @Alchemist and goes to show we don't always need Austin's to grace our gardens..

I doubt it really needs it anyway at this point.
The Royal Jubilee seeds had the thickest ones, which does make sense as the seeds are the fattest.
