  • Hahaha, it was funny reading through all those posts! Looking forward to see them all (mostly Sunshines I see).

Like @Oliya, I also stocked up on orangey-apricoty types this winter so I will enjoy your new roses instead😊

Speaking of similarities....Does anyone else think the yellow one looks identical to" Crown Princess Margareta"?

...it does a bit although to me it looks like a cross between Roald Dahl and Carolyn Knight..

..I like  Elizabeth because of the clusters of smaller blooms, which remind me of a hybrid musk or noisette rose...  very much my type..  I expect it can be trained as a short climber..

I think 'Bring me sunshine' also bears some sort of resemblance with Crocus rose (I'm no expert though).
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

Whoops apologies to Mr Vine Eye! I missed your post, it definitely looks like Bathsheba!
Emily Bronte is a dead ringer for Elizabeth.
I feel a bit cheated, I was looking forward to something different...not repackaged.

I would say more like Dame Judi Dench but with more yellow in it. I like the form and colour gradient of Bathsheba more but it's hard to judge from the photos.

I just wish there were a few more photos of the new roses, so we could better appreciate the shape of the rose as a whole.

I’ve got myself Elizabeth. Just like Marlorena said, I expect it to be similar in its habit to a hybrid musk or noisette with clusters of smaller blooms. But it’s going to be in quite an awkward place in my garden with quite a bit of shade. Will see how it does there…

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone’s photos!:)

Thanks for the photos Jessica! Maybe I'm just being too cynical. I have none of the "originals" and my daughter has hinted at buying me both new ones so I might just give in.
