I was invited to lunch with the Japanese ambassador at his official residence to discuss an upcoming govt trip to Japan. We were shown into the dining room which had the traditional very low table which you sit at cross legged. Just as I was wondering how I was going to manage that without splitting my trousers he revealed that it was a standard height table which had been sunk into the floor so we could be seated in comfort while looking like we were doing it the traditional way. Very diplomatic :) And the food was superb of course, I even ate the sea urchin which I hate. Very diplomatic :D

Hello all, enjoy your holiday @Dovefromabove I hope the weather is kind to you, it will be lovely to see Hosta again.
@Busy-Lizzie don't forget it will be a bit chillier in the mountains so you will need a good jacket.
I'm waiting for some plug plants to arrive, they have been dispatched, I shall be annoyed if they are dry and dead if they are left over the weekend.
Enjoy your day everyone, catch you later.

Hello everyone.  There were extremely high winds around today. No rain or snow though.

Relaxing in front of MasterChef at the mo.  Hubby likes it more than me, but I put up with it for his sake. John Torrode irritates me beyond description. I like Greg though.

Hubby had his regular appt with the Oncologist today. Imagine our surprise when we entered the room to find Divi Dua on a TV screen instead on his usual seat. Apparently he’s not allowed to travel from Canberra to Cooma because of the virus.  🙄 Anyway, no change to his medication and he is sending the prescription directly to the pharmacy instead of handing it directly to Hubby.

By the time we had done the week’s food shop, checked the mail box, etc. we were worn out. Flopped when we got home.

Afternoon all, enjoy your visits @Busy-Lizzie and @Dovefromabove. Best wishes to Hostafan1 as well. I wish I had someone come to do my cleaning next week.  I've actually been thinking about it but I'd feel a bit guilty.  Had one for a few months when I was setting up my own business so was very busy and the joy of coming back to a sparkly clean house was unbelievable. I'm not one of those women who like housework and cleaning.

We've been over to a nearby town to pick up OH's new wedding ring, which he's not too sure about yet (he's not worn one before). I couldn't think of anything else significant for a special occasion that he hasn't got already.

I've done two lots of washing and we're now awaiting the SM delivery - complete with 12 bottles of wine on their special offer. Hopefully that'll last a while. Then I'd better get on with the said cleaning.
