  • I never mentioned badgers ears!! All well in Devon, yes my neighbours are home! Tui,34,it was discovered in early Covid last year,a lot of the seriously ill folk had low vit D, especially the groups with darker skin colour. You need to take a high dose, ideally October to April

No you didn’t it was @AuntyRach,  I’ve had a busy day today.

Interesting, Nanny Beach, I hadn’t heard that about Vit D, and darker skins. Better check on my son in law, although his dad is a GP so should be already aware of this.
I do take a Vit D supplement as recommended, but I do take it all year round, as I usually wear a factor 50 sunscreen on my face year round, and am not one for sunbathing.

I was typing “as rough as…” and thought I’d better tidy it up for any sensitive sorts 😂

300 bulbs sound a lot @Busy-Lizzie, that will make you ache. Have you got a long handled bulb planter thingie? They were featured in this month's GW for the Best Buys feature. I haven't got round to buying any yet but am meeting a friend on Friday at a GC for coffee/cake/car wash/shopping - could take some time.
I did have a long handled bulb planter but I think it may have been left behind when I moved. It was going rusty and it didn't work very well, clay soil got stuck in it. GW gets delivered to OH's house in Norfolk and I'm in France at the moment. I'm going to take off the turf, remove top soil and mix it with compost and grit and dig out some of the lower clay and dump it elsewhere to make room. I'll plant the daffodils in clumps. I expect it will take a long time.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Morning all.
    Glad you've had more rain @Pat E
    Devon.
  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
I think it’s a bit drizzly here today … can send it your way if you like @Pat E 😉
Heading up the coast to visit friends today … and hopefully find some petrol before we start heading home tomorrow 🤞

    Morning all 😀.

All those bulbs will make a wonderful display next spring @Busy-Lizzie.  Your garden transformation continues 🌱🌱🌱

Off to college today - using precious fuel.  After today I will not be going anywhere til my exams on Tuesday, and have enough in the tank for that I hope 🤞🏻.

Mr C has just gone out looking for fuel - he is now getting low and has a funeral in Southampton to attend tomorrow ☹️.  Having been sensible this time last week, and not joined the others in the idiotic panic buying spree, we are now a bit stuck.  Not a great lesson to learn 😳
