  • Be careful what you wish for re sending Andrew to the US - given the trade deals we are working towards with them, he could well simply be treated with hormones ( tho it would seem he isn't short of those ), Chlorinated, procesesd and packaged and returned to us as a form of Royal Beef  :D
Whoever on this planet really thought he would ever be asked to stand up in a court of law - here or anywhere else - in order to dispute the claims made against him. He is apparently going to make a "comeback" when the Queen celebrates yet another jubilee in the near future. Whooopppeeee  ;)

I don't see how Prince Andrew can be considered to having been served the papers. He was in Balmoral and the papers were served in Windsor.  But I wonder if an exchange might work - we give the US Prince Andrew, they give us the Ambassador's wife who killed Harry Dunn. (That's a win-win for us, but shh, don't tell them that).
Absolutely up for that ... can't think of anyone who wouldn't be ... including most of the Royal Family 👿

Not an Ambassador's wife tho' ... she's married to a CIA agent ... apparently ...
Apparently she's more than just married to a cia analyst. There's unconfirmed reports from ex spooks I heard that she was a more senior us intelligence asset hence the rapid repatriation. I reckon uk spooks would love to get that swap too.
  • Just been checking online for reciprocating saw. Loads showing but you can only get them 100s of miles away. You go to a DIY store bethey say they've got stock.  Once there they haven't. The item was probably a returned product that but logged back in then got sent to depot for checking out but that was never logged.

DIY stores never have as much stock as the past.  IME since covid it seems to me that they reduced stock levels.  So you look for one item,  fund loads but the ones you like the look of aren't in stock. Infuriating!

They would say that wouldn’t they … it’s a way of explaining why she was assisted to run away, without them being held to account for their actions.

  • B & Q are absolutely shocking at updating. A few years ago hubby wanted a power drill. Wednesday Diamond card discount,on line showing 19,the power tools are right near the cashiers. Ask a bloke, tell him there's meant to be 19. He checked then told me they must have been stolen, yeah right. He DID let me order it at the discounted price. When I went back to collect it,after receiving confirmation email guess what, they couldn't find it. Pre pandemic,of I went to a different store some distance,in the end, made them do a physical check

I've got a reciprocating saw but never use it because they're crap.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

For Heaven's sake. Have you any idea how hard it's been for retailers of all kinds in the last year or so? Staff get ill you know, because there's been a worldwide pandemic in case you hadn't noticed. There are shortages of everything for all kinds of reasons, depending on where they come from.

I've lost count of the number of times I've done it recently @Lyn.
It just makes me angry just now. My older daughter is currently off work with Covid [despite all the precautions etc]  so the other daughter is also off, and she's just been covering for others who had to self isolate because of it. They're both exhausted. I know you have a similar situation with your son. People have no idea.

Sometimes I think it’s best to take a break from social media for a while.
I get angry, just like you.
I felt sorry for my Tesco delivery driver some time ago,  they put in substitutes in if they haven’t got what you’ve ordered,  he gave me the list, very apologetic and told me what was substituted, he had a hell of a day because of people complaining they didn’t get what they ordered.
I told him I’d accept anything and was very grateful to all the boys that just work and bring my shopping.
