My peppers are ripening nicely, Been picking them about 3 weeks. Years since I had such a good crop. I shove mine in stir fries, salad, have never frozen them. Just picked some raspberries to chuck on the top of a chocolate cheesecake tomorrow. Free pansy plugs arrived today going in the hanging baskets

I roast peppers for making soup @floralies :)
    Nice one @KT53 :D
I was planning to go to the cemetery tomorrow, but I would have needed petrol. I had to take daughter to work, as the buses are all over the shop because of the holiday here, and I thought I might go into the garage up the road, just for a tenner's worth. Nope - no petrol. Massive queue at the one near daughter's work. No way was I sitting there for an hour.

Thanks for the thoughts on red peppers @Fairygirl will certainly try the soup, no gas flame here @B3 but I just slice them and put them in the freezer and they keep for ages.

I bet people are thinking a lot harder about electric cars now too.
Speaking of greenwash. When you read up about washable nappies the advice is full of the environmental benefits. What they don't tell you about is the seeds. I've got a fresh pair of trousers on this evening and I just reached into the pocket and found a couple of seeds lurking in there. This is odd I think, until I realise the seeds have probably been through a toddler, through the wash and then found their way into the pocket of my trousers that were in the next wash :|  Those boys do love that seedy bread...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • Wild edges,at my age and pension, there is no way I could ever afford an electric car. They price of electricity is going through the roof,we don't produce enough in this country. There was the recent problems with the fire. They are going have to sort out the charging points for flats etc.  My neighbor has 2first one, the battery went,he said it wasn't worth repairing so expensive so it's been sitting on the drive a few years (I actually have his 13 year old. diesel estate)Then he bought a Nissan Leaf, but he doesn't use it for long journeys.Hes an engineer, likes the car,but says the millages on them are grossly overplayed. They both work full time,no kids, tiny mortgage,so he can afford the loan

@wild edges - trouble from the minute they're born!  :D
Are you going to try and get them to germinate though....the seeds that is, not the boys... ;)
