In Winnie the Pooh Kanga is very keen on folding laundry and putting it away ... it's a shame you can't get yours to do that for you @Pat E  ;)

    @Busy-Lizzie ... I did put a 🤞 ... just in case  :D

Afternoon all, just back from our car rally in the Cotswold so have had a quick read back, my goodness, you've all been so busy!
Although we enjoyed it and it was lovely to see all our old friends again, I found it totally exhausting. I was chief booker in so was on duty more or less all weekend, apart for an hour or so when another helper took over. I think it was the constant talking to so many people I found tiring, especially after last year. Other people said the same.
We had a surprise request from a wedding party who were staying in the same uni accommodation, the groomsman asked if anybody would kindly volunteer to drive the bride to her wedding nearby in an Austin! Well, a volunteer was found, the bride was duly surprised and we all cheered her on her way. Such a kind thing to do. Unfortunately at the last minute I had to miss the whole shebang as I was giving a talk on genealogy. That went very well and they were so interested I overran by nearly an hour and missed lunch.
Then last night, we went out to dinner with old friends at a very nice local French restaurant and unfortunately I tripped over a low pavement walking back to the car, crashed to the ground nose first, hit my head, nose, put my teeth through the inside of my upper front lip and grazed my knee. Not a good way to end the evening. I felt such a fool, there were loads of people around and two very nice young men came over to see if I was okay and wanted to call an ambulance. Anyway, we got back to the campus and I was cleaned up and put to bed. This morning I've got a hell of a headache and look like somebody's punched me in the face but still had to drive the modern car home, fortunately not far. Suspect I might have a bit of concussion so will take it easy for a bit.

Oh @Lizzie27 ((hugs)) have you been checked out by some sort of medic?  You really should be checked if you've got concussion ...

Oh dear @Lizzie27, what a horrid shock, I hope you are OK. I agree with Dove, concussion should be checked.

I thought I ought to do some h*w*k too @Busy-Lizzie ... I've had the floor buffer vac thingummy out and done all the wooden floors downstairs, and washed the throws etc ... hence the rain ...

Lizzie, I hope you’re ok. I still get a headache sometimes from my fall at Easter.  I’ve also got a dent in my skull which I can feel with my finger. 🙄

You’re right Dove that it’s a pity I can’t train the Roos to fold my washing for me.  They like watching me hang it on the line.

It’s bed time here so night night all.  Catch you all tomorrow.

Hello everyone, just missed you Pat night, night.
We have been to Toulouse this morning to give our fingerprints for our residency cards. All very quick and easy. No sign of anyone wanting to see a Passe Sanitaire anywhere including a cafe and the Prefecture.
Sorry to hear about your fall @Lizzie27 maybe you should have someone look at your injuries?
Fingers crossed @punkdoc for a removal of your neighbour!
Hot and sunny today and looks like it may stay for the rest of the week.  B)

Oh no @Lizzie27 - and after all your hard work too.  Hope the healing is quick.
I love the idea of roos folding washing! What if they stuck their paws out @Pat E and you helped them a bit until they get the hang of it.  I must admit I don't remember that from Pooh.
Bought some alstroemeria (pink ones, not thugs according to seller) at the Wootten's plant fair yesterday, to go where a persicaria which is getting too big is.  That will be moved to another bed.  But sooo windy and grey, so not very inspiring.  Was looking for crocosmia Lucifer but no crocosmias at all which surprised me.  Unless I was too late...

@WonkyWomble - Mind and Muscle by Elizabeth Langford, published by Garant in 1999, ISBN 90-5350-883-X   She writes well.  Enjoy.   I shall probably read it again myself now.  If you can't get a copy, PM me your address and I'll lend you mine.

What are you like @Lizzie27???   Go and get your head checked!

Fingers very much crossed for you @punkdoc.
