Morning SGL - you snuckered in. Sorry you had a rubbish night. My Thursday night was like that but with my fan on all night last night I slept much better. It won't spoil my sister's holiday though. She will have a marvellous time with her OH and I'm just jealous I'm not out there yet.

I'm sure you'll be able to go soon @Ladybird4 hopefully you and your family can go together next year.  You'll all have a wonderful holiday making up for the ones you've missed. Enjoy your day in your garden.
A fan is a good idea, it's certainly going to be a hot one tonight 🥵

Morning Hazel @Songbird-1 sorry to hear you had a bad nights sleep too. I was beginning to think the sleepless nights were ending.
I've put some cloth things in the spinning thing and I've put the loungers out in the garden underneath the Oak tree. Will have a relaxing day reading and enjoying this weather while it lasts.
    Have a restful day Hazel

    Morning all.

I don't think you would like SW France @Songbird-1. It's much hotter there than here. Maybe Norfolk is cool, I wasn't hot last night. 19° when I looked out earlier.

I don't understand why the UK gov have re-introduced quarantine for France. The UK Covid figures are much worse than the French ones. I don't want to quarantine when I eventually have to come back here for OH's operation and it means he won't be able to come back to France with me for my grandson's baptism end of August because he has his cardiology appointment in September. I feel sorry for those in the travel industry and all those who have booked to go to France.

Forgot to say, we are going to an Open Gardens Day in a local village. About 20 gardens open.

    Morning all,

Pegged out a line full as per OH instructions delivered before she left for work, watered those that needed it and got the weed burner out. Did about 90 mins with that and, probably, got around a third of the paved area done :o

Even standing holding that got me too warm so I've come in for a cool down and a spot of golf.

Hello all .... glad all is well with the family @yviestevie and they've arrived safe and sound :) .......... lots of watering of pots of hostas, ferns and stuff has been done and the tomatoes, squashes, courgettes, beans, cannas etc etc etc have had their Tomorite (otherbrandsareavailable) too ... OH says next time they're due for a feed he will do it as my back is complaining about the weight of so many big watering cans ...   I was a bit late doing it this morning as I had a bit of a faff about after my shower ... I shoujld probably have left the shower until after the watering ... although to be honest the bottom half of me got a second shower anyway and OH had to hose the mud off my feet  :D

Now to finish this coffee and get on with prepping pizzas for supper .........

Lily sadly I’m not in Wales it was a programme about it with Michael Ball.  Sorry to hear you had a restless night.  Have a quiet day.  Debs try not to get too hot in the garden today.  I hope your half day goes well.  LB don’t overdo it today.  You were wise to be out early.  Biglad you were right to come in and cool down.  It’s sweltering.  Yvie it’s good your family arrived safely.

Hehe @bluebellsinthewild I was just teasing 😉🤗  Hope you enjoyed watching Michael Ball.
Thank you Rosie, I've just pegged out the last of the wet cloth things and I'm now going have my lunch in the garden.
OH has been watching the golf too @Biglad
@Busy-Lizzie have a lovely time visiting all the beautiful gardens .

Yvie, will your firstborn and family have to isolate on their return? I bet they are enjoying being away from all the mess that normally accompanies major house alterations.
Hazel, sorry you were another who had a broken night last night. Sit in front of your fan and take things easy. Maybe the hot weather did give you that horrid headache the other day.
Busy, have a lovely walk around the gardens - no sneaking any cuttings though!
