A long-time favourite of ours - Persicaria affinis 'Dharjeeling Red'. Flowers start off pale pink with darker pink accents.
Then they gradually take on a deeper pink colour, each flower lasting for weeks before finally turning brick red. If it's happy it will flower right through from late May to early November. It spreads freely but without becoming an outright thug.
