How often do you look closely at flowers?How remarkable they are.

The first photo shows Cordyyline australis and Phormium tenax growing at the end of our polytunnel.

The next 2 show the flower branches.

Thanks for the Cordyline flower photos - mine are much too high up to see in any detail, and by the time they fall down they're all dried up. Beautiful.

I look close-up all the time - have to be reminded to look at the whole picture!
This week I've really enjoyed Echinops, Alchemilla mollis, Pelargonium tomentosum, Sempervivum and Crocosmia buds.

Many of these are just mind blowing. Makes really forget about their actual scale and how dainty they look without looking up close. But just zoom in and they smack you with all their theatrical glory
