Agapanthus settled down comfortably in the wrong place. I don't even remember planting it. It'll have to stay I suppose. Trailing begonia I had a moan about this begonia on another thread but I think I'm going to like it now
I'm very fond of begonias, if only for the fact that they can bloom in the dark. They light up a gloomy alleyway and have to be the easiest thing to look after. My white ones didn't do much last year, but are bursting this year. I like the pendulous types. I'm not around this summer enough to do hanging baskets, but I would like to do hanging orange begonias below again next year. They are strangely and orangely defiant, lit up by the west sun.
Lots of people grew up with parents or grandparents who grew begonias or pelargoniums and they have awful associations. Nobody I knew grew any such thing - so my associations are all mine. They don't offer anything to wildlife but can be explosion of colour in the middle of nowhere or out of the dark, and that can be a great thing.
Lots of people and professionals on TV say how much they hate hanging baskets too - because of said associations and commonness and naffness etc. But if you live in a narrow property (like me) or have a balcony or only a doorway to light up, then hanging baskets and pots up everywhere great way to lift colour and light.

OH calls them 'lust in the dust'. 😄
@Slow-worm the second 'lust in the dust' image is a cracker.

@B3 I was only saying yesterday how I don't like begonias, although they're acceptable in other people's gardens I suppose.
