Can't fault them @LunarSea all are very good, I think the Astrantia is one of my favourite flowers of 2023 and one I'll hopefully be growing next year.
@Sheps our astrantias continue to flower. We cut back the old ones and new ones come through really quite quickly so the flowering continues and they appear in areas in the garden that we didn't plant them. Lovely plant.
Gorgeous shots all, but I particularly love the astrantia, @LunarSea. I'm very jealous as mine didn't flower this year - first year from seed so maybe they're just slow to get going!
Then this little gem, as I found it, devils's bit scabious that has pushed up through wild carrot. Isn't that pretty?
The last few flowers on common scabious
And saving the best (for me) till last... this is a nicotiana seed head, backlit. You can see the little seeds sitting in there waiting to be released.
And that's sparing you the insect ones which I'll post on the insect thread.
