We had 20 degrees C yesterday and sunshine. I cut down the Crocosmia and took off the old seed heads from the Verbena, but left the new ones.
I need to buy new cloches. The Foxtail lilies start already. One of the Eremerus bulbs is lost. What ever is inside it will feel cosy over winter.
This Bowles mauve is the third generation. I started to take cuttings in March 2021 from a plant that didn't survive the February cold and had just 7 little new-grow on one stem. One of the 7 made it. I'm currently growing the fourth generation and will give them to a close neighbour for her front garden.
The new buds of the Lilac tree.
I don't expect that the Viburnum survives. I repositioned it in September.
Buds of a little peach tree.
I took cuttings of this Hot Lips Salvia, which haven't died so far in the greenhouse. The White tail bees are still around it.
Grown from seeds. One of the wild geraniums.
I cut down the Knautsia at the beginning of October. It doesn't give up.
It's the last stem of the Astrantia.
The red Echinacea really struggled this year. I need to replant it where it gets more sunshine and can breath. The Knautsia in front of it literally grew like crazy.
Hi there! Not "flowers" as such, but thought I would share those pics of close-ups of my Malus 'Evereste' leaves, only a few of them still hanging on the tree. Lovely frost in the garden this morning.
