Well I stay off-line all day and come back to all these absolutely fantastic images. @NormandyLiz and @Sheps - there are no superlatives left. Simply stunning!
Echinacea
Rosebud
Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border. I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
I thought I'd got some decent photos with my mobile phone. Compared to those of late, mine are grainy and blurred. My wife, who is a good judge of these things, suggested I get my digital camera charged up. Somehow I don't think I can match those of @NormandyLiz or @Sheps or @LunarSea or @Penny_Forthem or so many others (sorry if I've not included you here).
I love the Echinacae too, @LunarSea, and I'm not sure I've managed such a good rosebud.
Phones are pretty good given they are phones, but for macros they are sadly not quite there. Definitely time to whip out the camera, @rowlandscastle444. Bear in mind some of us use macro lenses, so if you haven't got one don't be disappointed if your results aren't the same.
I don't have a macro lens @NormandyLiz since I bought it for taking photos of castles. Plus being rather shaky now, I'll try and set it up on the tripod - if I can find the tripod!! 🤔
Thank you for your kind comments @rowlandscastle444. I'm humbled to be included. I have a macro setting on my new phone (plus a pro setting, which I haven't used yet) But you've all given me the encouragement to get my Cannon off the shelf (even if I have forgotten how to use it!) It's pre wifi, so it's a memory card transfer, which will have to be done on the laptop. We are away on a short break this week, so cameras are definitely going with us.
That rose is gorgeous and I love the 'dreamy' quality of @NormandyLiz's photos.

Thank you for brightening up my days. 😊🌞
Looking forward to seeing the pictures taken with your camera @rowlandscastle444
Here's the last few taken with the mobile. I don't like to waste them.
Hydrangea getting to the end of its best.
And my wife's miniature rose, which is in a dreary pot by the back door, used as a doorstop when it's windy!!

This is catmint
I hate the smell but the insects love it.
