Stunning images guys! I am not worthy.

You are so too. Some (most) of your shots are fabulous, in particular the backlit tomato flower on p131. Keep looking, and looks at everything, from every angle, and keep an eye on backgrounds. The background, or usually lack thereof, for me is often what lifts a flower or insect macro.

Outstanding dandelion shots, @Sheps. The 2nd especially.

Ooh...symmetry @NormandyLiz and excellent composition too.

Isn't nature ingenious how it designs plants to distribute its seeds.
  • This thread has become truly addictive!  Such fantastic photos showing even the most humble flower as a reason to celebrate nature. The photographic talents displayed here are amazing, thanks to all!
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

Isn't it just? And if that's not bad enough then add to it the addiction of taking the photos. Yes, nature is blinkin' marvellous, nature and light.

I believe this was purple-leaved willowherb. I'll find out next year when the seeds germinate

Definitely Willowherb, or fireweed, Chamerion angustifolium. An excellent shot!
  • Stunning photos from amazing people. Keep them coming. They do lift the heart.
    Thank you
