It's unbelievable what some folk are able to spend on any old tat, isn't it @Ladybird4 If I had £50,000 lying around, I'd want more to show for it than that eyesore!
Evening all, have spent the day with the Grandchildren. Lunch with Secondborn and dinner with Firstborn. They both have Covid outbreaks in their schools and quite a few of the staff are off which is making things stressful. It's looking like most of the end of year trips for the children will be cancelled. Such a shame as for some it's the only outing/holiday they have all year. Hubby is doing well Hazel, he did all the driving today and his speech is steadily improving. He gets impatient but the hospital did say that it would be a long road back to his usual self. We've had quite a few heavy showers over the past two days so the garden has taken a bit of a battering although we have avoided the thunderstorms.
I watched the Antiques road show too, it was awful wasn't it 😂 I'd probably have given it to a charity shop ages ago.......or thrown it in the bin! 😨 We've had all sorts of weather today, sun, rain, sun, rain and thunder and tgen sun again. Night night everyone sleep well and sweet dreams everyone
Hello everyone. Sorry to have been AWOL for so long but life has been busy and we've been making up for lost time with trips away etc. We were only at home for a week in June while we had more work done with doors and windows (still not finished but that's a long & boring story!) and to tackle the jungle garden which was crying out for major attention after so much heat and rain.
Currently in Devon for 10 days. The weather was kind up to yesterday but it's been a very wet weekend since we moved from Dartmoor to Exmoor. OH was wild swimming in rivers on Friday - not warm enough for that now!
So pleased to see that some others have made it on their travels. Trebah garden is gorgeous isn't it @Yviestevie ? We went to Coleton Fishacre last week and they have a very similar jungley valley garden. Both house & garden are simply stunning.
Glad you're safely in the Norfolk BL and are now able to get out and about. Must be good being with OH again after all this time🙂
Really enjoyed the footie again last night. Shame I had to watch it on my ipad but we have no TV reception here. Also means that (for the first time in 50 years) I've not watched a single match in the first week of Wimbers. That will change when I get home on Wednesday - also just in time for the other match...
Must be time for bed now. I do like these lazy late nights....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
