    Morning all.
It's a dry start but rather breezy and chilly. Long trousers today methinks! Just enjoying a cup of tea in bed then we may head up to Exmoor.
Not going too far as we both have a long drive home tomorrow. It's very convenient having 2 vehicles -big one as a comfortable base (but only usable on main roads) and a smaller run about (which allows us to explore) but it's a bit of a pain that we both have to drive here and back.

Hope all goes ok at the dentist @Dovefromabove 🦷💉 - hope it's not too sore afterwards. Don't be poking at that hole in the gum with your tongue!🤨😉😁
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Good morning all. Showery here but no real plans, just a bit of babysitting then I may make a lasagne and pop o allotment to pick some sweet peas. Had memo at work to say we can wear England tops tomorrow but I am off because at work on Saturday. Thought of you football fans on here. I am happy to be off as I don’t have an appropriate outfit.
We are watching The Handmaids Tale, bit late I know as it was so popular a while back but I am loving it. Lots of me shouting at the screen.
Good luck at dentist Dove and hope you all find something fun to do despite the weather

Morning T'Bird. What I want to know is, in your mini convoy, who is Rubber Duck and who is Pig Pen? Enjoy your last day of visiting - look out for the ponies.

Good morning Debs, I am going to brave the sodden garden to pull some rhubarb to make the cordial - and possibly a crumble depending on how much rhubarb is available. Enjoy your babysitting and your trip to the allotment.

    Morning all,

More heavy rain here overnight as well. I was out at 5.30 emptying receptacles but not since. We're between showers now so will go for a quick lap round the garden.

    Hello all.

I'm pleased you are enjoying your holiday @Topbird.

@Biglad I record Homes Under the Hammer, then I can whizz past the repetitive bits.

I slept badly last night. Since I was last here in Norfolk someone has acquired a very noisy cockerel that starts crowing at 3am. It was very bothersome last night.

OH has gone off to Tesco, I didn't feel like it. He likes to go out more than me. I save the shopping to do weekly, he seems to pop out whenever he wants something.

He is very fidgety, he's just had the appointment to see a cardiologist. It's for the 14th September so that's an extra 2 months to wait before we can find out about his hip replacement.

    It's raining.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Topbird it’s lovely to hear of your travels.  It sounds like you’re having a great time.   It’s many years since I had fresh crab claws.  Dove hope your tooth is removed easily and your soon back home.  Not the most pleasant thing to have done.  Hazel it’s rained overnight and still raining when I went out to the bin.  Quite cool, especially for July.  Rubee and Lily I’m just having a cup of tea now.  Alfie’s landed badly.  I’ve checked him over and he’s still jumping on the dining table so things seem okay, no limping, thankfully.  LB a rhubarb crumble would be very welcoming, especially on a cool day.  I hope you have enough for the cordial and crumble.  Debs I met an older lady many moons ago and she loved sweet peas and had a garden full of them.  Enjoy babysitting.  Busy sorry to hear your oh cardiology appmt not until September.  Hopefully things can move on from there.  I’m going to put a cardigan on it’s chilly.

Afternoon everyone, what a wild, wet & windy day, it’s been throwing it down,
LB I do hope there’s enough for a Rhubarb crumble as well 😋 I have custard 👍

Dove Hope all goes well today with the extraction 🤞
Topbird have a lovely time at Exmoor & safe travels on your convoy home tomorrow,
SGL Hope your garden hasn’t suffered during the night,
Hazel What a shame the Coreopsis hasn’t worked out where you planted it, I’m sure you’ll find a suitable spot for it to look right,
Debs Sounds like you have the right day off tomorrow, hope all is well at the allotment,
Biglad Bound to find a few cyrils & brians lurking after that rain 🤨
Busy Another awful long wait for your poor OH must be absolutely fed up with the whole situation.
Bluebells poor Alfie I hope he is ok, I meant to say that your pretty pink rose was a bargain price you did very well to get that 😊
Hope Yvie got on well with the physio,

    Have a lovely afternoon All.

They're either all hiding from me or I've chucked them all into the brown bin already @Chivetalking ;) A measly 3 Cyrils was the sum total.

I did some weeding and pruning to top up the garden waste bin before collection tomorrow.

Not much damage caused by the heavy showers - couple of rhubarb stalks have snapped and, as ever, a couple of French marigolds have sacrificed themselves :D Other than that, I think the rain has been thoroughly enjoyed!
