Debs, just a small matter of England v Denmark
Actually Debs, you have just brought something to mind that I meant to say yesterday. Has anyone else noticed that their tap water smells distinctly of chlorine these last few weeks? I know that chlorine is used as a disinfectant in water treatment but I've never noticed the 'swimming pool' smell as frequently in the past. I would love to know if anyone else has experienced this?

    Morning all,

Heavy overnight rain - a few cms in the collecting receptacles :) Another bucketful under the shed guttering and the usual 'pond' that I would've expected to start forming is merely a couple of small puddles ;) I may be kidding myself but harvesting the rainwater from the shed roof may actually make a difference to the bog corner.

I found this little fella out the front just before I was about to step on him :o

I let him be for a few minutes whilst I pondered what I was going to do with him if he didn't eventually fly off. Fortunately, he eventually decided that he'd had enough of my company and took off. I reckon he must've flown into a window and needed a rest to recover his senses. Just as well it was me walking past and not one of the Pussy Posse who regularly swagger by. Otherwise he'd be joining the frog from yesterday in the bin :(

Morning Biglad. I had a young blackbird who knocked him/herself a bit wobbly against the window by my front door. It was lucky it escaped being run over by my car as I drove up but it soon recovered and took off.

Morning everyone, the sun is trying to peek through the clouds. Mixed weather forecast for today.
Lovely pic of puss cat @debs64 such a sweet face.
We get birds flying into the conservatory windows sometimes, they do go with a thwack.  Sometimes they actually fly around the conservatory when the doors are left open. Great pic @Biglad
Good to see you @Topbird hope the weather improves for you. Sounds like you're having a lovely time anyway.
Glad you managed a ride out on your bike @Songbird-1 hope you're not sore this morning.
@Yviestevie so pleased your OH is improving.
Yay! You have rain @Ante30 good to see you too.
Minds gone blank sorry everyone. Have a good day everyone.

Hello all ... glad OH is making progress @Yviestevie ... very positive.
Must dash ... have a vat of ragu to make so when I've had my tooth out tomorrow we can have soft un-chewy spag bol for a couple of days ...

    Good morning all.

What a sweet, pretty little cat @debs64. I wonder what happened to its owner, it must have had an owner as it's wearing a bell.

So disappointing for schoolchildren about end of term events being cancelled.

Thank goodness you didn't step on the cute little fella @Biglad.

The water in Norfolk is OK at the moment @Ladybird4, but occasionally I can smell chlorine.

Rain isn't forecast, although it rained early this morning, so I will tackle the long border - needs weeding, edging, tying up and planting.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • LB I love your picture.  I used to like walking in the rain when wrapped up.  Debs what a pretty cat, so glad your mum is feeding her and bravely finally coming inside.  Topbird great to have you back.  Have a lovely time, hopefully the weather improves and back for the tennis.  Enjoy your time in Devon.  Yvie so pleased your oh is doing well.  Chive enjoy your time with mum.  Ante thank goodness for the rain saving your crops.  Such a relief for you.  Enjoy your rest today.  Hazel I hope your muscles ache less today.  Lily have you regained some energy from poppets visit.  Today I’ll be pottering and watching the tennis.  Have a good day everyone.

I had a small walk thru neighborhood. It's still fresh from last night. Must thank you because it's your rain. It came from nord Atlantik and in last moment.

LB, I'm also looking forward to watch football at Wednesday. I just hope that I'll arrive home at time. My sister will come from Germany and I must pick them up from airport.

Afternoon all,  Off to get a deep tissue massage in a moment to try and sort my back out.  Glad the rain arrived in time @Ante30
Need to get some serious deadheading done in the garden but it will probably have to wait until tomorrow.
That cat is very pretty @debs64 hope he/she gets a clean bill of health at the vets.  Might be chipped.
Glad you're enjoying your holiday @Topbird
Enjoy your chat with mum @Chivetalking
