Hi all, fiancé’s mom assumes the cat had an owner at some point as she has a collar so will be checking her for a microchip at vets. Unfortunately there seem to be lots of strays in her area there are a few she feeds often older cats. If kitty can be reunited with caring owners that’s super but I think it’s unlikely.

I adopted a very friendly, but pitifully thin, cat once. The vet thought her owner had probably died and the cat was forgotten. She had obviously been living rough for some time and was elderly, had a few missing teeth. I only had her about a year before she died.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Busy I’m sure your little cat appreciated the time she had in your home.  Always worthwhile to welcome these furry characters into our lives.  Hazel I can appreciate you feeling unmotivated for a few days.  Be kind to yourself and start with small tasks.  Yvie I hope the deep tissue massage works wonders.  Anyway some you time will do you good.  I’ve been pottering but we’ve had heavy rain so I’m in watching the tennis.  I’ve had a very early tea.  I suddenly felt rather peckish.  I missed the end of the Gauff v Kerberos match unfortunately.  Time for a cuppa.

Evening all. Well I've been waiting so long to see Emma Raducanu play that I've got cobwebs and still no sign. I reckon she won't be on TV tonight. I hope that you have all had good days. Yvie, are your muscles deep massaged and more comfortable now? Hope so as I have to say that sounded a bit torturous to me. Hazel, I think we have all felt a lot like that this last year. Debs, I do hope the little cat finds a good home with your Fiancé's Mom if she doesn't get reunited with owners. Remember Jack cat sitter's daughter's cat that was reunited with her after 4 years absence?
Ante, I hope that you get back in time for the match. Please remind me when it is your sister's wedding day. I know that you did tell us but my mind is foggy!
Busy, I'll bet that little old cat had the kindest last year of its life with you.
Think I'll put the kettle on - RosieBB gave me the idea.

Well I have to say Biglad that the Beeb's cover of Wimbledon has been really poor this year. You really get into a match and then suddenly there it is - gone - to red button land on the iplayer. Can't be donkied to flick here, there and everywhere.

I was trying to watch the Felix AA v Zverev match and lost count of how many times I had to change channel @Ladybird4 :(

Apparently this is now the first time I've ever watched The Glums :D

Its ridiculous isn't it Biglad? I see you were correct about the rescheduling too. What a joke!

That's the problem with all the options available these days, isn't it? They haven't just got 2 terrestrial channels to look after. They can chop, change and swap all over the place. I can't for the life of me understand why they don't just show each match from start to finish in one place though. Crazy :o

I hope it isn't that they assume the viewers have such short attention spans that they need to start watching a new match to keep them tuned in. It's the only reason I can think of though.

    Exactly @Songbird-1 :o

I'd find "Homes Under the Hammer" vaguely interesting but can't watch it because one of the presenters gives me the willies and they insist on repeating the same footage because it's been over 10 mins since they last showed it :(
