    Evening everyone.
It's been a warm day today, bit cloudy at times but not too bad. Although it's raining now.
Got lots of cloth things dry this morning and then I pressed some with the heavy hot thing.  Also sat in the garden reading.
Just turned the TV on and quickly turned over, sorry not a fan of tennis especially  when they grunt all the time. Not sure who it was, but definitely grunting 😕
@Yviestevie glad you enjoyed your massage.
@Chivetalking hope you had a lovely day with your mum.
I feel like thst some days @Songbird-1 think this last year has probably everything to do with it. And this awful summer weather isn't helping.

Evening all - still haven't even attempted to watch Wimbers yet - far too difficult when I can't just tune the TV in😉

We've been up to the Valley of Rocks (beautiful) and Lynmouth today. Lynmouth was the site of a massive flooding incident back in August 1952 when most of the village was swept away and 34(?) people died. Very similar scenario with the events in Boscastle in 2004 except nobody died there. Remember watching live pictures of people being rescued from their roof tops by helicopter - absolutely terrifying and truly amazing there were no deaths or serious injuries.

Lynmouth today is a rebuilt & interesting harbour / touristy destination. Very quaint and pretty but the shadow of events 60 years ago hang over it with the memorial hall and flood exhibition. Very interesting and rather sobering.

Like everywhere around here it was all rather busy and I was thwarted in my attempt to go for a hat trick of Brixham crab sandwiches. Had to settle for a small (but rather excellent) portion of chish & fips instead. Back to the van and it's raining again. Might get a bit windy later on - we'll see. Rain on the van roof is very soothing so agood night's sleep is on the cards.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Good Morning May All Things Bright And Beautiful Be Yours For Today - DesiCommentscom
I do agree about the grunting SGL and Hazel - I just mute the TV if it gets too ridiculous.
T'Bird, I hope you know how cheery it is hearing about your travels - I remember a few years back 'living' your skiing trip with you and your OH and loving the pictures. I have never been to Lynmouth but handy brother has and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
I remember seeing those frightening pictures from Boscastle and what always boggles my mind is people being on their roofs - such a huge distance from the ground! The last time I enjoyed fresh crab was on a beautiful holiday at Sheringham in Norfolk. Delicious!
I think its time for my breakfast - already enjoying my first cuppa.

Good morning Ruby and Dove. Ruby, I think the weather is going to thwart my gardening plans for today. What's it like in your neck of the woods? (Ante: home area)

Good morning SGL, you snuckered in there. Plenty of tea on the go - all welcome. Its torrenting down here SGL - good for the plants but bad for the gardener! Not to worry, plenty of other things to do.
