Gradually moving all my pots into the shade and placing them in trays, ready for our holiday.
For the first time, I actually believe we might get away.

Hi all, just popping in whilst we have some sort of communication, it's very bad at the moment and on top of that we had the worst storm I have ever seen here yesterday, hurrican winds and huge hail stones. Tiles off the roof, the garden is decimated, flowers, veggies all decapitated. We thought the windows were going to break with the wind and hail, have been trying to do some clearing up, so upsetting    :'(    catch up soon.

Oh @floralies I’m so sorry. Wish we could help 😞

    Afternoon all,
Sorry to hear that @floralies, hope some of the plants recover. Sounds like DD also suffered.
Good luck @chicky, I'm sure you'll do fine.
@Punkdoc, hope you have a good trip, both my sister and my brother are enjoying their respective holidays
in Scotland at the moment. Brother had his belated 70th presie of a steam train trip, the Jacobean, from Fort William to Mallaig last Saturday and sister's in a cottage near Elgin.
We can't wait to go on our trip to Suffolk, near Sutton Hoo. Have been before, but looking forward to seeing it again.
Hope OH's assessment goes OK @Busy-Lizzie, are you being phoned every day by Track and Trace? I thought you could apply to be released after 5 days if you've tested negative so far or have I got that all wrong? The rules are so confusing now.
How on earth is Sturgeon going to police the latest crazy edict - it's madness.
It keeps spitting with rain, just enough to keep me inside but I might just get outside anyway and plant stuff.

Love Sutton Hoo @Lizzie27  … it borders Bro’s farm. You can give him a wave 👋

Hi folks,  It's spitting with rain here too.  Managed to get a lot done in the garden this morning/early afternoon.  Lots of deadheading, dug up a load of honesty and a thuggish Thalictrum.  I also cleared a lot of excess growth from the pond to give my lily a fighting chance of producing a flower.
Off to Portreath on Saturday for a week so have lots of do before we go.  Wasn't sure about going following Hubby's stroke but he's doing so well and his therapist said it would him good to get away and relax.

Left home at 3am. Arrived at my Daughter's at 7.30.
Just been to Air BnB, it's a pigsty, unmade/ uncleaned beds, not even remotely acceptable.
    Now in Premier Inn.
Daughter V upset as she booked Air BnB and now needs to get a refund from someone who doesn't answer her phone / emails. GGRRRR
    Devon.

@Hostafan1, that is such a shame. I believe you can complain direct to the AirBnB people who might have words to say to the host. Whether it works or not, I'm not sure.
Anyway, how's your little man? Hope you enjoy your visit with your daughter.
You really deserve a holiday @Yviestevie after the year you've just had. Hope the sun shines for you every day.
