We also often get the air ambulance flying overhead into the RUH and I always think of the poor sods in it and wish them good luck. I'll never, ever forget the awful RTA near here when the small child and 3 others lost their lives - the helicopters just went round and round over the house looking for somewhere to land and eventually settled on the school playing fields near us. The sheer noise of them and all the ambulance sirens was terrifying that night.
On a lighter note, I was highly amused to find out earlier that I'd hit the video button on my phone instead of photo and had a funny sequence of a vase of roses followed by my feet walking through the kitchen into the living room. Still don't know what I did wrong!
I've just watched the RHS Bridgewater programme, the 2nd or 3rd one? It looks brilliant so I really must go up and see it perhaps later in the year. Have a good night everyone.
I’ve just watched Bridgewater too @Lizzie27 … so much hard work … I loved the positive comments of the folk who worked there especially through lockdown. It looks good now but it’s going to look fantastic in a few years’ time.
🥱 night night all … sleep tight 🛌 🐑

I watched the Bridgewater programme too. It was amazing. And the whole garden will look wonderful in a couple of years time. It would be lovely to see it IRL. Was it @punkdoc who's already been? We then watched Together. Just wow - very powerful for an hour and a half two-hander.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ I think we’re into monsoon season now 😉 love the sound of trickling into the water butts.
I was ingenious yesterday … some clematis and honeysuckle in a corner against the neighbour’s garage have always needed generous watering … I’ve just realised that the gutter on the garage has a joint right in that corner and (with the agreement of the owner) a little piece of crock in that joint in the summer will help divert a bit of rain to that corner. I’ll remove it in the autumn … genius 😉

Miserable cold, wet day here today. I’ve changed the sheets, but it’s not much use washing the older ones if it’s so wet outside. It’d be nice to know how long we can expect rain. 🙄
Me too Dove. The fire hasn’t been out for a couple of days. Luckily, Hubby keeps waking up through the night since the cancer medication, so he comes out and tops the fire up. I sleep through until morning.
No monsoon here @Dovefromabove although the weather is sultry. A few spots of rain in the night is all we got (just condensation!!) so I'll have to water before it gets too hot. Overcast and this weather expected for a while. I hope @Floralies it is sunnier.
Any news from @Busy-Lizzie I see on the weather report that it's heavy rain right the way through to Norfolk. It is so draining driving in the rain. Oh!
I planted out some Okra and Basil yesterday. Second year for the Okra - a disaster last year, they were stunted. I'm always game to try again if at first I don't succeed!
Have a pleasant day even if it is only 15°C - we have a cooler 26°C today.
