Not sure if this will be legible - looks ok this end. Complete with authentic curry stains - mind you the book is 30 years old (OK, that's a feeble excuse to damage a book)...
If you want a recipe for dhal, I have it in the same book (different curry stains though I'd guess).

Afternoon all,  El scorchio here,  I've been out this morning deadheading and tidying, nothing too strenuous.  Tied in the toms and watered the veg.  I'm sitting in the cool now enjoying a cuppa.  Hubby's speech therapist came and he's got homework to do.  I've had some success with my complaint re the garden chair I purchased less than a year ago.  I finally got an email from the company, after posting damning reviews on as many sites as I could, and they are going to send a new chair.  We'll see if it materialises.  I've also managed to find someone to fit a hand rail to make navigating the cellar steps a little easier.
    Lovely cloud photos.
Enjoy the rest of your day folks.

What a coincidence. I’ve just made some coleslaw this morning. Just a very simple version of grated carrot, sliced white cabbage, dried cranberries and Waitrose low fat mayo. Had that with a cheese salad.
That was an amazing cloud formation last night. Dragged OH out to look at it, but didn’t think to take a pic.

    Afternoon all.

Loving the cloud pics. I have a book on clouds which has a quiz to grant you a diploma in cloud spotting 😂

Just back from taking MIL to a long-awaited trip to a GC/nursery as I promised her some help in choosing some plants to brighten up her patio. I was gifted a large pot of Cosmos and treated myself to some plants for a hanging basket.

It’s very warm here - I wonder if it will break tonight with some much needed rain...

    Have a good day all.

Afternoon all.  You are making me so hungry with all your coleslaw and burgers.  I cannot eat anything solid today after having 2 teeth out this morning.  Feeling a bit rubbish and not allowed to exercise anyway.  But eldest granddaughter was round and we lazed about watching ET. She hadn't seen it before and it was lovely for us to see it again. I cried at the end (again!).

That's a pain @didyw, in more ways than one but hopefully you'll feel better soon and better for having them out. I cried at ET as well.
You're very kind to your MIL @AuntyRach, it's nice you get on so well.
Good to hear that the company has promised a new chair @Yviestevie. I'm watching my strawberries closely and put netting over them a few days ago - don't trust the blackbirds, starlings or magpies round here. The gooseberries are looking promising again.
My face is still red and sore so I've taken more pics to send to the cosmetics company if they ask for more evidence. Daren't go out in the sunshine in case it makes it worse.
Just spoken to big brother, he wants to come and stay overnight in July to see us on his way to see his eldest son and his family. I've warned him we may still be in chaos after the carpet fitting so he'll have to put up with any inconvenience.
Clouding over here and it's very humid.
