Visitors finally departed.Ā  Not used to so much relentless chat!Ā  Book Club tonight so I think I will look through the book to find something relevant to say and just be quiet for the afternoon.Ā  Too hot to garden though I did throw some water over some panting plants.Ā  Hose will come out tonight: hubby's job whilst I'm being literary on Zoom.

    Hello folks,
Collapsed on the sofa with a cuppa, bookcases and wardrobes emptied. Found a pair of shoes still with tickets on that OH must have bought the year before last and stashed away. His stash of old T-shirts has to be seen to be believed, Ascension Island Fishing Club circa early 1990's and many, many others! I've found my cream lace wedding stockings wrapped in tissue which bought many happy memories back and also lots of handbags which I'm not sure what to do with yet. One of the handbags is a rather nice turquoise one in satin but has what looks like a couple of greasy fingerprints on it. Is it a write off do you think or can it be cleaned? I was thinking talcum powder?

Glad you enjoyed the wedding Punkdoc, sounds a great do. OH's nephew's wedding is 30th July so we're hoping it will still go ahead. Don't worry about the weeds Hostafan, just enjoy your visitors' company.

Enjoy the singing, tennis or football, whatever floats your boat.Ā

Hope Obelixx and Possum have reached Namur safely.Ā

I think I was told to use a warm iron with brown paper for grease - so you place the absorbent brown paper on the offending mark and on a very low heat, iron over the spot.

The happy couple left the civil service which was held in a lovely garden, to this song, which I thought was rather beautiful.

I couldn't hear that music at all, maybe it doesn't work in France.

It's been a busy day today, weeding, clearing out the rest of the big barn (the car is full of stuff to take to the tip tomorrow), cleaning the car windows, making a cake (friends coming to tea tomorrow), watering. It's been very hot again.
