Morning everyone. AnotherĀ cloudless start today. The weather channel has been showing footage of people skiing down the slopes at Perisher. They have opened before Thredbo who are planning to open next weekend. That’ll mean lots of traffic going through town (Cooma).

Sorry, I meant to say how lovely the new grandson looks. I hit the ā€œpostā€ button instead of ā€œreturnā€ .Ā
Ā We aren’t looking forward to all the traffic moving through town and perhaps spreading the virus. 😔. Masks will have to be found again.Ā

Hi Pat.Ā  I know you have some new coloured pencils. Have you tried Polychromos from Faber Castell?Ā  I find they lay down colour easily without my arthritic hands having to press on hard.Ā  I'm up at this time of night waiting for the painkillers to kick in for my hip, so that I can sleep. One days digging, three days recovering.

Morning @Pat E, hope you managed to get some sleep @fidgetbones, sounds painful. I am up early because my brain is buzzing and bizarrely I woke up feeling really hungry. Now have porridge and a list of things on paper but probably too late to go back to sleep, I have a Birthday Cake to decorate for a 2 year old and a full booking sheet for lunch, I don't want the two to clash.

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
It’s a glorious morning Ā with a beautiful sunrise ... and there’s a peacock calling in the distance ... I’ve not heard that here before ... I can’t imagine that’s going to be popular with closer neighbours ...

Hi Fidgetbones. Lovely to hear from you again. Ā My main (most favourite)pencils are Polychromos. The others are just tryouts. Wouldn’t swap them for anything, although it’s fun to try the other brands. Ā Ive been playing with colouring faces and trying out different shades. Ā šŸ‘šŸ‘. Great fun.Ā

Morning DD and Dove. Ā That peacock call would be a bit shrill I expect Dove. Ā As you say, won’t be popular with the neighbours I expect. Ā DD, your energy is amazing. I don’t know how you do it, day after day. 😳😁😁

Hello @Pat E ... it seems that not only the peacock is up and about this morning ... there’s what sounds like someone nearby filling a skip ... or something like that ... possibly a garden shed being taken down and scrapped ... Ā not really loud but unusual at this time on a Sunday morning ... I suppose people only have the weekend to do ā€˜stuff’ ... it’s not bothering us but I can imagine one or two folk may raise their eyebrows šŸ˜‰Ā

I can understand that Dove. Ā We find it hard to put up with rifle shots in the night. A neighbour (next door I’m sure) can sometimes be heard after midnight. I don’t hear it, but Hubby can hear anything. He wakes very often. What worries me is that they are no doubt shooting at Roos and maybe injuring rather than killing. I don’t like either, but it annoys me because they don’t do much harm around the place and the people (yobbos) are just being b....s.  😔

That would anger me too @Pat E ... while I have no problem with properly organised game shooting for meat, I have to time for idiots who get a kick out of terrorising and maiming animals for kicks 😔

Ive discovered the source of the noise ... it’s the daughter of the old chap who used to live next door. She’s getting the house ready to sell ... they had builders there last week doing some repairs ... I think she’s trying to be quiet but you know how it is, sometimes you make more noise when you’re doing that than when you just get on with it šŸ˜‚Ā

Now the noise has stopped and there’s the glorious song of a songthrush nearby 😊
