    Good morning ladies.
    All quiet here.
We've had a steady light rain for the last 12 hours which is perfect for the garden.

    Devon.

Sounds good @Hostafan1 ... and at least it should keep the day trippers off the road?

    Good morning!

Seems that I am not the only one who had an early morning.  4.45am so I listened to a calming meditation site in the hope that I would drop off again.  To no avail.

@Busy-Lizzie  Lovely to see a new born, so I guess the "nights" are worth it!!

Cool breeze here and cloudy skies, but the sun has promised to come out today!

Sowed carrots, beetroot and turnips for autumn harvest.  Sowed parsnips on 2 occasions but nothing seems to be going on there.

    Have a pleasant Sunday.

Morning folks, another glorious day not a cloud.averted disaster! Yesterday I got Hubby up in the loft,to get my summer clothes down. They were all washed but smelt a bit musty after a year,I filled the washing machine last night ready.(,I did 3, washloads yesterday, grandkids have been here half-term week,I ran out of pegs,)was going to add our bedding to it. He put the machine on,on a 60!! I've got silk tops, linen stuff in there. Have to be SO careful what I say,(many years fragile mental health,) he says the smell won't come out. If it wasn't for the bedding,I would have just done y rinse and light spin with fabric conditioner. Up the wood with dogs now,see you later

Thank goodness you got there in time, Nanny Beach! My OH once ruined a much loved dressing gown of mine, floor length, royal blue candlewick, by putting it in a hot wash. I’m not sure why he was doing washing anyway, he’s not usually allowed to get involved in that but restricted to major house jobs like plumbing, kitchen fitting etc! I also lost a much loved blue dress when the washing machine developed a fault and boiled the load. That wasn’t his fault, but I did cry over that dress!

Morning all you early risers, and those to come. We've been up a little while but were distracted by watching the antics of 4 (yes four) blackbirds in the garden, they are all a dusky brown colour so I guess they are juveniles.  Finally persuaded OH to nag her daughter about all the plants I've raised for her.  I know they are always busy,  but if we don't plant them soon it will be too late.  So no prizes for guessing what I'm doing today.

    Morning all,  afternoon @Pat E
Woken by the baby starlings here @Dovefromabove!!

Gorgeous day here but there is at least 3 hours of ironing work to do and the boys are coming for dinner so a huge meal will need buying and preparing when I've decided what to cook,  then returning ironing to customer and bookwork needs doing.

Solar power pond pump spout thing broke yesterday,  ordered a new one but it will be a few days before it arrives.  But in comparison to recent disasters its a relatively minor niggle!

Gorgeous new grandson @Busy-Lizzie! Congratulations to you and the whole family!

    Hi all

Surprised to wake up to rain, but the garden needs it and I am too knackered after a heavy week to contemplate gardening.

Going to brave town instead, need some books for [ hopefully ] upcoming holiday.
